I think I need to check with Pro Life Gaming and Pro Wrestling Gaming before I take his word for it. Does anyone know how Pro Football Gaming feels about this?

ryse_up5393d ago

Does anyone else feel like this? I see nothing wrong about giving your opinion about a game but don't bash those that feel contrary to your opinion. I had a horrible experience with Dead Island but if someone wants to give it a 10 then by all means give it a 10. Or if you also had a bad time playing it because it was so buggy then a low score is warranted. Give me some feedback!

jriquelme_paraguay5393d ago

so.. is Dead on arrival because you dont like it?

lol

Nice way to get hits

ryse_up5393d ago

I considered it dead on arrival because it didn't completely function out of the box. In a world before patches a game would just be useless in that state.

jriquelme_paraguay5393d ago

hmmmm... curious.
Im playing it on my Ps3, and i dont find almost any bug.

OMG... Fallout and Bethesda games are Buggy games, but, i undertand how big are those games, and i really love it.

The only issue i found, is the Matchmaking

Stevefrench8975392d ago

Im going to have to agree with jriquelme_paraguay regarding the ps3 and not encountering many bugs. All thats happened to me is freezing which hasnt happened in a while after 15+ hours. But its an opinon, and in the end its up to you and your experiences. Long "live" the undead!

Baka-akaB5392d ago

@ryse_up

You make it sounds as if reviewers had some unplayable game and disregarded it in their reviews .

It does happens sometimes , but i aint see it here . Especially given how sucessful the game is , there hasnt been any kind of huge uproar about this , except on pc for various other reasons and bugs .

Drake_Seraphim5392d ago

I'm playing this game on PS3 as well and so far I haven't found and bugs. It does have some dumb AI once in a while, but they are zombies after all. I really enjoy this game and would give it around an 8 to 8.5

slayorofgods5392d ago

It is almost like games are still in beta when they are first released nowadays. I'm sure Dead Island will be fine after a few patches.

This is common amongst games, I think Dead Island is getting too much scorn for it. It's type is always riddled with bugs Fallout 3 and New Vegas anyone?

But how do sumo wrestlers feel about this game?

furymasterzero5392d ago

ryse_up5392d ago

Hey Furymasterzero! Crazy running into you here. I'm stationed at Langley nowadays and gearing up for a BF3 tournament on Oct29th. How do you like the new site?

I just seem a lot of gamers don't understand when a game is called buggy. There are many level of bugs:
1. Bugs that 99% players will encounter everytime. Such type of bugs often get fixed quickly. But that still means the developer probably knew about it during testing and simply decided to ship first and fix later.

2. Random bugs which is often made out of most of the bugs in the game. Not everyone will encounter this type of random bugs. So, if someone didn't see many or any of this type bug, there is no way to guarantee how you will see later in the entire game or the next playthrough. But majority of the players are expected to encounter some of them throughout the game. If you are unlucky, you will encounter a lot of them. If you happen to by lucky in one playthrough, you may not see any or very few. But if you replay the same game again, you will probably encounter many of the bugs that you didn't see previous playthrough. The point, it's impossible to know ahead if your experience with the game will be a very buggy or not. From testing point of view, it means the developer didn't spend enough time finding bugs that don't occur everytime or didn't bother to fix them.

3. Bugs that occur very rarely. If there's a game breaking bug of this type happens in your playthrough, then it's very difficult to convince others you encountered it. Myself, I have encountered this type of bugs on several games. At first, no one believed me. After I proved step by step why such bug shouldn't occur, everyone got quiet and not knowing what to say. It's also a chance the rare game breaking bug may never get fixed if not enough gamers reported it or if the game is getting old. Anyone encountered it probably just have to restart the game from the beginning.

Dead Island 2 devs believe a Dead Island remake would be a “mistake”

We might be in the age of remasters, but it doesn't look like the Dead Island 2 devs believe remaking the original game is the right move for the series.

but remakes require far less effort for these companies and they can still charge $70 for them!

Feel like everyone makes fun of Skyrim re-releasing like 18 times yet applaud these remasters elsewhere. Would much prefer NEW games

CrimsonWing691191d ago

Making sequels really is the way to go. Otherwise we'll be stuck playing only the first entry, forever!!!

Dead Island's 2011 reveal is still the best game trailer of all time

Josiah Motley of KnowTechie writes: "I love video game trailers. While I don’t believe they are an integral part of a game’s success (especially these days), there’s something about a well-produced trailer that really just reminds me why I like video games."

Also the most misleading of all time

SDuck1603d ago

How so? Because it focused on a family that you see dying? (innocent question, haven't gotten a chance to play any Dead Island game yet)

aconnellan1603d ago

More the tone of it - the tone of the trailer suggested something personal and dramatic, but the game was very much reminiscent of Left 4 Dead in that you were just there to kill zombies and nothing more

Ashby_JC1603d ago

You play as a singular character there is no family involved at all in the game. Still a stand out trailer that I remember clearly from years ago.

Fntastic1603d ago (Edited 1603d ago )

Did you not like the game?

I remember going in expecting a L4D style of game, but the excessive camera swaying honestly made me feel ill, and it's rare for a game to do that to me, still don't understand why the need for anything other than maybe a subtle slight camera movement when doing melee attacks etc. Other than that i didn't really find the game that good. In all honesty i had more enjoyment out of DNF, and i know many people crap on that game.

BioShockGX1602d ago

I still remember this misleading controversy

RickRoland1603d ago

It’s the music. It’s perfect. I agree with this for sure, it is well choreographed….unfortunately the game didn’t live up to the trailer.

brewin1602d ago

Maybe not, but it was still a good game. I liked how they expanded things with Dying Light, but Dead Island was a great first attempt! I really liked all the Easter eggs and homages to other horror franchises sprinkled throughout. Sure it was a little cheesy and over there top, but it was a good happy medium between Far Cry and Fallout with zombies.

I'm gonna heavily disagree with that.

CrimsonWing691603d ago

Have you ever seen any of the MGS 3 or MGS 4 trailers? Those blow this out of the water for me.

TricksterArrow1603d ago

They require prior knowledge of the franchise, tho. You show this trailer to anyone, and I mean ANYONE, and they can understand what's going on and relate to the family dynamic almost immediately. No need to know who is Snake, or Fox Hound, or Raiden, or Metal Gear...

Top 10 Xbox 360 Games That Need to be Backward Compatible

Kevin F. from Link Cable Gaming writes: "Many of the best Xbox 360 games are playable on the Xbox One and Series X|S consoles. Some even with some enhanced visuals and performance. Unfortunately, not every game from the Xbox 360 library has received this glorious feat of being able to be played on more modern Microsoft consoles."

Max Payne 3 needs to be on that list.

autobotdan1817d ago

The Spider-man games will never happen. The xbox 360 Marvel Ultimate Alliance games have a better chance of happening than Spider-man titles but won't happen. The Xbox One Ultimate Alliance games delisted years ago

Vits1817d ago

Yeah... you can totally forget about those entries that got delisted because of licensing issues. Those are not happening.

MetalProxy1817d ago

Wait everything isn’t BC? You guys act like it is lol

porkChop1817d ago

Almost all of the games people want to play are BC, and that's a hell of a lot better than having none available.

ApocalypseShadow1816d ago (Edited 1816d ago )

Almost all the games people want to play? Not true. Majority picks screw over the minority who have games collecting dust. Metal is right. Fans make it seem that it's all. 39/997 games from OG Xbox is NOT all. 568/2154 from 360 is NOT all. But you guys play it up like it is.

And from my count, there are 4,000+ PS4 BC games on PS5 that I see. And almost every VR game. Series X has no Kinect games or Kinect 2. But you played that up too. No more dancing.

As for the article, some of the BC games make sense. The others with Spider-Man aren't happening.
