Not that it couldn't do some things better, but the series has been so consistent for so long that it's just something that can't be helped. And as it turns out, EA Canada has stepped up its game after a good (but not spectacular) 2011. The physics engine has been tuned up and the presentation has been revamped; even the nominally excellent superstar mode has received a few tweaks.
