Persona 2: Innocent Sin Preview | VGNetwork.it

Persona 2 is a two-part series of Japanese console role-playing games for the Sony PlayStation, developed by Atlus.

Set in the fictional metropolis of Sumaru City, Innocent Sin follows a high school student named Tatsuya Suou. Eternal Punishment, which takes place afterwards, switches focus onto Maya Amano, a young magazine editor. Both characters have near-death experiences which transport them to the realm of Philemon, an astral being who exists outside of the waking world. Philemon grants them the ability to summon a Persona, an alter-ego which manifests as a mythological figure.
Unlike other Atlus' older games, which are traditionally restricted to a first-person viewpoint, Persona 2 is seen from a third-person perspective. Several game elements, particularly the characters Philemon and Nyarlathotep, are drawn directly from the writings by Carl Jung and H. P. Lovecraft.

Oh yes. P2 and p3 are horribly outdated and aged bad.

gold_drake1398d ago

the only thing that i feel like hasnt aged well, is the slow battles. the rest is fine as is imo

pietro12121398d ago

P3 hasn’t really aged well so I can see a remake

MadLad1398d ago

Persona 3 is my favorite in the series. If they wanted to redo it I'd be happy. Just make it, you know, an actual remake.
You're seeing people trying to do low effort for $70 currently.

Persona 2, more so. I want to see a more serious take on this series. 2 felt less whimsical.

I wouldn't have included the spin-offs but also 3 is way better than 4. Sure P4 did a lot of things gameplay wise that improved on what P3 was doing but P3 has a way better story and characters. Not saying P4 is bad, I loved it but P3 is easy to go back to when P4 not so much.

P3 also had one of the greatest endings to a game ever

still, i love P4 equally as much, the persona series is just soo good

I agree. I liked P3 more than P4 as well. Both are still great tho.

I have to say I played persona from persona 2 to 4 and I really do think persona 3 is the best between FES&P3P, I'm not going to act like I didn't enjoy 4 but I found the darker story from persona 3 more enjoyable but any way that's my opinion. Last note my steel book copy of persona 5 is on its way I can't wait

Razzer3339d ago

nice to see others like P3 as much as I do.

Pretty good list. Though P3P will forever have a special place in my gaming heart, thus being nr.1 for me.

P3 story can almost best out P4. Unfortunately it looks just way too similar to the anime Evangelion.

I feel I'm one of the few who actually played Dancing All Night(got the collector's edition when it went down to 30 bucks). I gotta say, it's surprisingly fun and I enjoyed it a lot.
