Owen Hill writes:Jay Wilson, game director of Diablo 3 loves the PC. Honest. I interviewed him at Gamescom a few weeks ago and asked why PC still matters in such a changing industry.
“The install base of PCs outnumbers all the consoles combined together hands down.” said Jay. “There’s a lot of people out there with PCs and Macs, and they like games too.”
Read on for more unbridled honesty from the Blizzard developer.

Blizzard reveals plans to speed up Diablo releases with more frequent expansions and updates as the franchise moves toward a live-service future.
All I want is a physical disc release of remastered D2 that doesn't require online check-ins.
I've lost complete interest. Too much FOMO with seasons as it is, now it's expansions? No thanks.

A strong majority of quality assurance workers at Blizzard’s Albany and Austin locations overwhelmingly voted to ratify a union contract at Microsoft, ensuring lasting protections in the workplace.

Blizzard has revealed their showcase schedule for 2026.
Nothing better than reading the wise words from a Blizzard Developer so it's just best for me to just point out some quotes from the Wise man!!
“The install base of PCs outnumbers all the consoles combined together hands down.” said Jay. “There’s a lot of people out there with PCs and Macs, and they like games too.”
Preach the Gospel Brother!
"And one of the things that we’re not willing to ever do is go to a platform just to cash in on it"
So many Devs need to stand up and repent for this Sin against Gamers! Repent and set yourself free...you idolizers!
We don’t believe you can make a Starcraft style RTS and make it great – Blizzard great – on a console.”
These are Gods words not mine! Etched in stone and brought down from the mountain top!
"If people think that you can’t make money from the PC they should really look at us as a symbol and they should really be asking why we’re so successful".
And the Lord has spoken ....Amen Brother!
I think thats a healthy attitude. YOu make the game that you are making on the platform that best suits it. Devs should tie themselves to any particular platform for the sake of ideology, only if they think that particular platform will best benefit their game.
hmm i lost my mind earlier lol
It'd be nice if we lived in a world without exclusive titles. It'd be pretty awesome if you could just play a game without getting caught up in idiots running around screaming "OMG MY PLATFORM IS AMAZING AND IS SO CLEARLY A REPRESENTATION OF MY TALENT AND SKILL AS A HUMAN BEING DESPITE THE FACT I DIDN'T MAKE IT I JUST BOUGHT IT FROM A STORE OFF A SHELF".
Oh well, won't happen will it?
And to the inevitable in pour of morons who descend upon this article to flame war about console vs pc I feel like just pointing out that it'd probably be easier to take an advert out in a newspaper and let everyone know you're a cunt that way.
Those were actually some very cool statements for a developer to make, amidst this current cesspool of poisonous, obnoxious gasses our gaming community have thrived in this generation.
