I loved the Campaign! It reminded me of Half Life 2, which is a very good thing. I think Insomniac did a great job capturing the desperation of humans when they have it all on the line.

I love Resistance 3.

Killzone 3 was a slight disappointment for me. It felt kind of rushed. The weapons had little to no recoil compared to kz2 and there were ammo boxes every 20 feet which made the game less challenging, there were too many cut scenes that broke up the gameplay, and the way the ending played out was less than stellar. Overall though it was a pretty good game. I just expected better.

I love KZ3, although it was easier than KZ2.

I just hope the sharpshooter works as well on Resistance.

For me, I think I lean towards Resistance3 for the SP and Killzone3 for the MP.

Killzone is gorgeous and frenetic, but you never really see how the war affects anybody, like the regular Helghan people who have now been nuked for two straight games.

Resistance 3 in contrast has some striking refugee camps. Lots of poverty, lots of kids. 2 children crying over a bloody bodybag in Mt Pleasant, radio plea for a missing daughter on the Mississippi, woman contemplating abortion via diary in St Louis. Kids eating from cans while a strapped down body twitches uncontrollably from behind a curtain nearby. It really makes a difference when the guns come out.

Single player, I'd have to say Resistance 3. Multiplayer goes to Killzone 3.

Resistance 3 is what resistance should have been from the start, desperate and hopeless its amazing so far. I found r1 and r2 generic and average but r3 is one of the best fps ive played in a long time. I like it cause it acually has a story thats good with great cutscenes. It captured the feel of facing total annialation.

Kz3 was great but i liked kz2 alot more than 3. Il have to finish r3 to see which is all around better.

Both are awesome, but if we're going by the single player campaign, I'd say hands down Resistance 3. I haven't played a better FPS campaign for quite some time.

Resistance 3 had a much better campaign than Killzone 3 imo but Killzone's multiplayer is superior. Multiplayer in Resistance is still a lot of fun but it's having a lot of problems with lag :/ BUT couch coop on superhuman is a blast! Definitely well worth the purchase.

both R3 and KZ3 mp suck imo tho i do like kz3 mp a little better. R3 SP is pretty good tho

One of my favorite things about Resistance 3 that surprised me is that once you beat the game you unlock cheat codes and behind the scenes videos. I miss cheat codes this gen. Not the "invincible" or "unlimited ammo" cheats but the goofy ones like "big head mode" and shit. There a good incentive and make you want to play through the game again not giving a damn and just playing like a badass.

Based on what I've played (the betas of each), I'd have to say Killzone 3 was better. I was honestly infatuated with the KZ3 beta. The R3 beta hasn't pulled my attention in the same way, though it is enjoyable.

The full game of KZ3 wound up being... not everything I would have hoped for. A good game in its own right, but not superior to its predecessor. As for R3, I haven't played that yet, so I can't make a comparison there.

I own KZ3 and gonna buy R3, im sucker of those games..

@ TheDivine Why do people say that R1 was generic? What was so generic about it? Compared to the cookie cutter shooters of today the story, enemies, weapons and scenarios were varied and unique. It even had vehicles to break up any tedium of a normal FPS.

Even the health system was better then the usual hide behind something and heal garbage and the weapon wheel gave you all your weapons when you needed it instead of the idiotic 2 to 3 gun minimum most shooters give you. Generic no, unappreciated and criminally ignored, yes. It would be generic if it followed the path of every shooter in existence.

Killzone 3 was a great game but it didnt fully satisfy like everyone expected, and Im just starting Resistance 3, so far so good.

Resistance 3 was the worst in the series. Story was dumb and wrapped things up in a terrible way. The multiplayer and gun play was absolute CoD wannabe garbage. No evolution on the amazing Coop in the 2nd game. The cover art was the only thing good about it lol.

Gratz Guerilla, amazing Studio and engine, love Decima!

I was never a huge fan of Killzone, but thoroughly enjoy Horizon. Guerrilla are superb developer and easily up there with the best of the best.

Need a killzone 2 remake from the ground up.

One of the most creative studios out. I hope they keep it up.

Great studio, loved the Killzone series, I wish they would do a remake of the first three games. Horizon is a real step up and truly put Guerrilla Games on the map.

Too bad I never got a chance to play Shellshock: Nam’67 would have loved to try that game out back in the days to see what were their beginnings.

Bring back killzone (maybe in 3rd person perspective)

It would fantastic to see what they could do in Killzone after the lessons learned through Horizon.

Or heck, give us even a short linear FPS from the people who designed Cauldron THETA in the Burning Shores expansion. Even just flying into it (after gliding around and finding its opening amongst the lava and Sunwings perched around it, with other bigger machines just along the path toward it) was an incredible experience.

Forbidden West is awesome, It’s pretty damn big compared to Zero Dawn and it takes a little while to get your skills up and get the equipment you need to fully explore the game (not going to spoil it) but once you do those things and start fighting the big ass machines it really is amazing. Some cool side quests to where you hold the fate of peoples lives by your choice and the cauldrons look amazing. Lots of skills , combos, special moves and add ons for your weapons so you can approach fights many ways. Looking forward to the name game but I wonder how/if Silas will be a part of it or not ? Sad he’s gone.

20 years of mid-tier games and they are trending down.

I'm hyped for whenever Horizon 3 releases but Killzone 1 needs a remake BAD and 2 & 3 need remasters. Criminal those games are stuck on PS3.

i really loved the atmosphere and idea of killzone. i hope they revisit it at some point because it always had so much potential.

Bring Back Killzone please or at least a KZ2 remake with MP.
