The pre-release multiplayer beta and day one patch don’t appear to have been enough to fix Resistance 3′s multiplayer problems, with players complaining of unplayable frame-rates and “horribly unbalanced” teams.
New reports indicate that Sony Interactive Entertainment and Insomniac Games may still have Marvel's Venom in development.

Matt Miller writes: "We interviewed the general manager of Marvel Games for insight into several of the big projects the team has been working to bring to life, and where the games division is headed next."

For a mutant who can't die, how will Insomniac Games adjust the healing mechanic in Marvel's Wolverine?
Knocked out is still an option. So are being captured or restrained. Then there's potential for fatigue being a factor or just putting limits on how many times you can come back from healing quickly, making it also something you upgrade throughout the game.
Really not a hard thing to gamify, honestly. Just look at the last wolverine game.
Probably just have a health bar, only a tiny minority will probably be bothered by "oh but adanced healing" nonsense
Injustice was successful, people didn't cry about superman being beaten by humans
Ive seen enough to know that whatever they do will focus heavily on insane combos and dismemberments and all kinds of cool shit we wish we'd seen years ago as wolverine fans.
This is in great hands, all open world games get stale, I'm sure this game is going to be GOTY contender because of the talent behind it, but I hope its doesn't fall into any traps that make the world feel empty or underutilized.
LFG tho!! EXCITED.
Of all the things to worry about, this feels like the lowest ebb. I’d perhaps be more concerned about how they can find enough variety in the combat mechanics to stop a 10-12 hour game from becoming a bit samey, even if they get that main combat gameplay loop to be incredibly satisfying.
Obviously Wolverines claws will remain the main combat method, but thinking about how God of War benefited from (and differentiated itself from predecessor’s) by increased verticality in combat and also ranged attack mechanics, I’d be interested to see what Insomniac can come up with.
Interesting to hear to views os such an experienced game developer/designer.........wha t's that, you just a random dude off the internet....
I have issues from time to time, but to say it is a total mess is bullshit. There is occasional lag spikes but thats to be expected for the 1st few days with everyone downloading the game patches and the servers to get accustomed to the loads of the increased demand.
The points system is pissing me off, its going to be a chore I can tell to level up in order to unlock weapons attachments and some perks to make yourself competitive. It also seems that they changed the brightness level in the Trainyard map. In the beta I didnt have an issue seeing around the map, now its as if the sun is in my face anytime I am outside leaving a hazy look effect to it.
Overall I am happy with this game. It plays better than Socom 4 did/does. With a few more patches to smooth things out this game will hold my interest tight until Battlefield 3/COD/Uncharted release.
I had no problems with frame rates or freezing with the beta, but I started playing the full release and my game seems to have hiccups. My screen will freeze for half a second pretty often when playing MP and it sucks. Ihad no problems in the beta so this is kind of sad.
Love the game tho my cousin and I have been playing and it is great fun, the coop is a blast too.
I have a hard time playing a lot of the time, i love the game and i do good when it all works but a lot of the time i will see other players literally running through the air and others just standing there and then disappearing when i aim at them
