I cant read the article cause i cant get to the site but isnt it the hardcore that actually fund and allow gaming to exist? Would there be any new systems if it were not for the hardcore demanding more? If anything the hardcore will the saving grace of gaming while casuals and their willingness to leave gaming entirely are the issue.
I think the article is misinterpreting the "Haters" from the "Hardcore".
Haters will always hate, gamers will play games.
