BF3 Beta Concerns, Post-Launch Support, and Weapon Balance - DICE Talks Fan Feedback

"Recently, we published an article detailing 7 awesome betas you should sign up for. In this article, we mentioned that there are two types of betas; ones that are used mainly as a promotional tool for developers, and ones that are actually used to test the game in it’s current state and purposed to acquire feedback from gamers for developers to work with before the final release date."

I want them to stop talking about the beta, if it`s not date announcement.

Crazyglues5406d ago (Edited 5406d ago )

The Date is Sept 9, for people who bought Medal of Honor, and 48 hours after that - Everyone else -

Now as far as what the article said about how can DICE have time to put in the feedback from the beta if the game is coming out-(OCt 25th) so close to the beta release

Well there is an easy answer for that, they won't be taking no user feedback - Why? because they never do, to this day Medal of honor has had a mic problem.. the new Bluetooth Sony mic just stops working for no reason... old Sony mic works fine...

No one has worked on this or fixed the problem and it's been happening since launch..

The truth is the game is pretty much done when the beta comes out, so unless it's something lite and minor it can't be changed that easy.. so there is no need for feedback because they can't change things.. they can only tweak...

if a gun is firing too fast or you run too slow - anything minor is what the beta will help tweak but that's it.. So it's more of a performance test on servers and how it's running then actual feedback on how the game is.. -Because again only minor things can be changed..

If a major issue comes up a patch will be made for launch.. but I don't think people understand that when they give there feedback..

-So take this as a heads up.. -you don't like the new sniper suit and you want them to bring back the old, no that's not going to happen..

-The AN-94 seems unbalanced because it's killing everything moving, that's minor and that can be fixed..

So just keep this in-mind when reporting your feedback
----Sorry this was so Long----

and Dead Island in a few days... so far so good.

I want them to stop talking in general and just release a great game but the competition won't stop talking so it's a mexican standoff...

I'm not sure fans should be worried, but then again, maybe they should.

The DCUO beta took place just two weeks before the game released on PS3 in January and it's still buggy today.

The Resistance 3 beta is ending tonight and the game will hit store shelves on Tuesday. I've played the beta and it's buggy as hell.

Fans have every right to be concern about whether or not their feedback will be impactful because in today's day and age, betas are equivalent to multiplayer demos.

Mister_V5407d ago

For sure. I hope DICE realized the importance of this and does all they can to make sure that our feedback is recognized and acted upon.

KingDustero5407d ago

How is the beta buggy? I've played it for a good amount of times the best two days and haven't had a single issue with it at all. The only problem is lag, which is due to the game only running off one server ATM, but that'll be different on release.

Also there is a LOT Insomniac has changed in the final game because of the beta. The beta hasn't been changed at all balance-wise, but the full game has. There is almost a 700MB patch that has to be downloaded before playing online. The Resistance 3 beta has helped the game out a LOT and Insomniac has done a good job listening to fans.

Taking your crying somewhere else. The Resistance 3 beta was no demo. A LOT of things have changed in the final game because of it. Dice will for sure be changing a lot at launch as well with a patch. Some companies may use betas as MP demos, but Dice and Insomniac aren't those type of companies.

He wasn't "crying" about anything. Chill out little boy. Don't be dumb.

dkgshiz5406d ago (Edited 5406d ago )

DCU is not even that buggy. Some stuff still is. Majority of its fixed. With R3 its already confirmed they are having a one day patch that adds up to 650mb or so. Its supposed to take out nearly all of the bugs. So no big deal. I bought MOH on launch. It clearly states on the box that anyone who bought MOH is already guaranteed to be in the BF3 beta. They better keep this promise.

They did put put an alpha. In the past t would have been called beta. Now beta is demo and gives them a start on fixes post launch.

Battlefield 3 Cut Missions From Campaign Detailed by Former DICE Dev

Battlefield 3's former Lead Designer has revealed that there were two cut missions from the main campaign

XiNatsuDragnel532d ago

I wish someone can get those EA game leaks to see all the cut content ngl

anast532d ago

Get rid of campaigns, move the game to mobile, and try to compete with warzone. They would save time and money.

hmmm I think there will be no old BF glory days for EA since they are loyal to their greediness and laziness :D

Knightofelemia1317d ago

You're asking for a miracle with EA that will never happen unless they can exploit the money making schemes behind it.

MadLad1317d ago

We'll see what happens now that Zampella is overlooking the series.
