Speaking in a developer diary posted below, courtesy of TheGamerXperience, Howard talks about the various development changes the team implemented in order for the game to look and feel as epic as its size.

Yeah...Just agreeing with the guy in the Vid, he gives reasons why mwind was better than Oblivion. Reasons which Skyrim has brought in too happily enough.

Morrowind was so much better than Oblivion which INHO was way to repative and tidious as MW was very diverse. But at the same time the team didn't like MW being so 'alien' and wanted to ensure this game felt more 'classic fantasy'. I think having a healthy balance of fantasy and sci-fi works for the series, but they and I agree, it's funny parts of Morrowind feel like Mars and it's only a few thousand miles away from the heart of Oblivions' landmass.
I hope this game will make you over think your strategies for attacking opponents, it should have stronger enemies than your level, not world that synchronizes by your characters level. That makes RPG games more fun and i could relax from all the mindless games, and play a real fun sand-box old-school game. This game is gonna ROCK!
Todd Howard of Bethesda did say that there will be areas you'll get your ass kicked from and have to go back there later when you are stronger.
I did find it funny that one of the guys mentions Dark Souls.
Im looking forward to Skyrim a ton! Im playing Dark Souls right now and its hard to think of two RPG's that have have such a different approach to the idea of an RPG.
That's why i'm freezing myself until november 11 like eric cartman did so i don't have to feel the pain of having to wait for this game.

Dang i just wish they would show some footage of the PS3 version. I hate the fact that there are rumors that they gimped it due to the recent deal with microsoft.
Anyways if they do a crap job with it on the PS3 i just wont buy it.
