Well they've got some of the higest ranked and grossing FPS games of this generation under them. So it would be tough to argue really, unless of course you consider "best FPS developer" to actually mean "best visuals".

IMO the best FPS devs to date is Valve.any FPS game out there being hailed as the best always compared it to Half-Life,Valve definitely stands alone in the sea of devs.

Infinity Ward aren't the best, but they sure as hell aint the worst.

A lot more passion and quality go into Bungie's games, DICE's games, GG's games, iD Tech's games.....what a silly statement.

It’s funny how Treyarch can skew everyone’s opinion on Infinity Ward. MW1 was a masterpiece, arguably the best FPS release in the past decade. MW2 was unbalanced but really fun and addictive. I think IW deserves the benefit of the doubt, but is not getting it thanks to pile-of-Crap Ops.

Best or not is subjective, I don't think the gaming community could crown a unified best. Too many great devs. I do think valve def pops in my mind as a front runner, so does bungie, and insomniac. And irrational. God I loved bioshock.

IW is definitely one of the best. Not sure why people bitch about the engine they use on COD, then sit there and praise Valve who have used that terrible Havok Engine over and over again and their games have literally looked the same for over a decade.

All the guys with talent left for Respawn, Prime example ? Robert Bowling, Hes just their talking head. If he had any real talent he would of got the phone call, and you can bet your your asses he slept with the phone on for a month after the fallout.

for me the best fps devs of all time are: bungie (off course, NOBODY CAN DISAGREE WITH THAT!), infinity ward, valve, dice, rare (back when they were good) and free radical (also back when they were good).

i think infinity ward isnt good anymore cuz most of the ppl left for respawn except for robert bowling.

Nah, I'd rather give that title to someone like Valve, id, or Gearbox. IW was cool but they never did anything innovative, not even with the early CoD games.
