Welcome to the club. It only gets better from here my friend! This is the real next Generation!

Commander_TK5386d ago

There is no next generation for PC. It's one just a long powerful generation that never dies.

ATi_Elite5386d ago (Edited 5386d ago )

feel free to ask any tech questions! Have fun enjoying the new technology TODAY and not next next Gen!!

as far as ME3 goes it's a DX9 console port so my toaster could run it. You will not see a "Uber Sampling" option in ME3 but hopefully it will be a quality port like ME2 which didn't have too many problems.

Workshyskiver5385d ago

So did I, best thing I ever did. Replaying games on the pc is just amazing Tes, Gta and Mass effect are such an improvement

Rainstorm815386d ago

From everything ive seen ME3 genre looks to be a deep action adventure game with RPG elements....it looks like they abandoned the RPG core from ME1.

Day 1 purchase nonetheless but i hope there is more RPG in there than it seems

GameZenith5386d ago

Lol, the website list the game as an RPG.....

Its not only expensive to game on the PC but more annoying, I recently built a new rig and even my HD Radeon 6870 is still not good enough to have graphics on the max settings.

In my opinion there is no point gaming on a PC unless you have it on highest settings on everything only then can you gloat but how many people have £300+ laying around for a graphics card alone?

Easier on consoles just pop the disc in pick up the pad and play no messing about with any errors that come up or memory dumps, or laggy games because of something running in the background.

I game on Xbox 360 and PC and personally I prefer the 360 experience.

kramun5386d ago

What a load of bollocks. I bet you haven't got a gaming pc at all.

Basjohn5386d ago

I have a 3 year old GTX 285 and can play most new releases on the highest settings so I don't quite buy what you're saying.

Good cheap trick to learn though? ALWAYS turn off Ambient Occlusion. It does nearly nothing for visual quality but more than halves your frame rate and is a complete waste of resources unless you're running an overpowered rig.

Getowned5386d ago

don't blame the PC blame who ever built it.I game on PS3 & PC and i really don't prefer one over the outher my self i love the graphics and M&K for fps'ers on my PC and i love how i can just chill out on my PS3 after a long day of work.

I can play any game I want on my pc and i didn't spend "£300+" on a graphics card.

I agree with Kramun i don't think that you even own a gaming PC.

BlackKnight5386d ago (Edited 5386d ago )

Well your card is pretty dang good, but its not super high end. It's currently selling for around 175 bucks.

What resolution are you trying to play at and what game/settings? Pretty hard to make that card play a game any slower than 30FPS.

And the point to PC gaming is no online service to worry about, XBL/PSN go down, no games. Almost all games on PC run outside a service, they are "immortal". Also, games these days set to LOW settings is still better than console. Anything higher and it is a bonus. You can connect a controller, multi-task while gaming, play any music and have any social friend list open, I mean, the list goes on.

If you have a game crashing these days, I would check the RAM you bought if you custom built. Also to see if you have proper cooling. Games on PC crash no more than consoles. Windows updates EVERYTHING automatically for you. Even video drivers. And with steam, you dont even have a disc, it just runs.

And if your game is "lagging" because something is in the background, that is the users fault for installing something and leaving it running when you play a game.

jakethesnake5386d ago

I have a 6870 and I don't run things on the maximum possible setting, but I do run it at 1920x1080 on fairly high settings with some AA included at always stay close to 60 FPS. I know I can push my video card harder, but in the hot summer I don't want the extra heat. Your CPU might be a bottleneck, or you might have way too many settings needlessly cranked up in your Catalyst Control Centre.

As far as I'm concerned, keep dialing down the settings. If you can notice the difference, revert back. If you can't notice the difference and it helps your performance, then you've lost nothing and gained FPS. Yes, it takes some tweaking, but I promise it is well worth it!

Triggs5386d ago

Rewarding, too, if I might add.

BlackKnight5386d ago (Edited 5386d ago )

Exactly, cards will ALWAYS work 100% unless it is bottlenecked by other parts of you computer.

Meaning if you lower resolution and your CPU can keep up, your GPU will still work 100% hard but instead get 120 FPS instead of 60FPS.

6870 is a good card heat wise though, runs pretty cool for a higher end card.

anast529d ago

Legion, Zaeed, and Jack are my favorites.

RiseNShine529d ago

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

anast529d ago

They lost too much talent.

IAMRealHooman529d ago

some in andromeda are decent, I agree with peebee and Vetra being good companions. Except Liam he's trash tier

anast528d ago
