Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.
they should know that we are OG fans of VIII as it sold truckload as well. not as much as VII or X. I personally didn't like IX but X and VI are my personal fav.
Shadow Hearts 2 covenant is another game I love. I hope one day someone can make remake, I would be delighted

I’d love to know how many units have been sold of all the Final Fantasy VII franchise games, including the original, the remakes, spin offs such as Crisis Core, and mobile games Ever Crisis. I bet a fair few copies.

It's an absolute legend of a game. And I honestly really love how the remake trilogy is shaping up so far.
In my Tomb Raider iOS review, I look at whether or not the game runs well enough on mobile to justify parting with your cash.
Y'know...I'd consider myself a Gackt fan, but I just can't see Genesis as an attractive character. He was more annoying than anything, and imo Crisis Core probably would have been a better game without him. (of course, I'm not going to blame Gackt for that. Genesis would have been an annoying character even if his looks weren't based off a real person).
With that being said, I think they really missed the mark by not making Genesis more like Gackt. I mean, if you're going to base a character off a real person and even get that person to voice the character, you might as well go all-out. Instead of making Genesis a poetry-reading one-winged-angel Nibelheim-incident-ruining freak-experiment who had too much impact on the plot, I would have gotten a laugh if Genesis had instead been a random ShinRa soldier who showed up in the game every now-and-then to give Zack silly dating advice to help him "score" with Aerith...and failing miserably in the process. Sort of like this interview...
