I wasn't too interested in Shadow's of the Damned but THIS I want. I can't wait to see how interesting the gameplay mechanics are, not to mention the story.

Etseix5378d ago

Try playing Onechanbara then, i'd swear this game is the "spiritual" western version of onechanbara.

Buuhan15373d ago

Two things.

1) Onechanbara are awful games.
2) This isn't a "western" game. Grasshoper is making it, they're a Japanese developer.

The comparisons with Onechanbara stops at the setting and skimpy dressed female lead. Onechanbara is soon going to wish it was Lollipop Chainsaw.

I'm not gonna lie...I'm quite interested after watching that trailer. It reminds me of No More Heroes a little bit. I love Suda 51. :)

Buffy the vampire slayer inspired

Rdawg000145378d ago

Lol, either that or high School of the Dead. The story is so damn cliche and used, but the fact that Suda 51 is involved makes me want to give it a shot, Lol. Not to mention the "other" aspects :P

NukaCola5378d ago

The movie Buffy right? With Donald Sutherland? and PEE WEE!!!! What a classic. Didn't like the series on TV.

Gamefan125378d ago

eh not high school of the dead ... this is a cheerleader who is a zombie hunter .. hhmm cheerleader who is a vampire hunter ( and in the show she fought many other "monsters" )

MrDead5378d ago (Edited 5378d ago )

Yeah, I got the Buffy vibe too. I wonder if there will be any lesbian witches?

TacoTaru5378d ago

Hmmmm...do you even need to wonder why that image was chosen?

Relientk775378d ago

I clicked because of the picture lol

lol that's cool. I'm waiting for lollipop chainsaw remake to go on major sale before i try it again. I didn't get far in the original, not because i didn't like it tho. I bought shadows of the damned remake instead which is an awesome game and i recommend.

Numbers 6-9 were some of my absolute favorite early gen PS3 games. I'm still bitter about Incognito and Japan Studio.

Goodguy01711d ago

The white knight chronicles and infamous games really need to come to modern platforms. MAG I really miss...poor zipper. The ps3 was definitely a unique console despite it being the worst home console of PlayStation.

Lollipop chainsaw now a remaster not a remake

At fans request apparently.

gold_drake942d ago

i wonder if they looked into what a remake would cost and went "NOPE Remaster it is" haha

FreeckyCake942d ago

It probably has to do with what the producer had mentioned recently. The thing about not wanting to change the essence of the original (e.g censorship). So maybe remastering the game was the best choice.

CrimsonWing69941d ago

The link to the story didn’t really answer the question. It makes no sense that you have to censor a remake and not a remaster.

What I got from that article is licensed music forced them to change to a Remake(?) and that they’re working hard with the platform holders to negotiate not censoring, which Sony is stupid about.

My question is, how would a Remaster not have to go through censorship?

I’ve seen dialogue changed in FF7 and Baten Kaitos. Then you have actual cutscenes being removed like in the dmc remaster.

I assume the same could be done to this game.

FreeckyCake941d ago

No idea. That's why I said " maybe ".

CrimsonWing69941d ago

Bull sh*t, you show me where fans wanted a Remaster instead of a Remake. I was more onboard with a Remake, I’m less excited just playing the same game I did before but now with sharper textures and better framerate.

ModsDoBetter941d ago

Probably realised this won't do the numbers so didn't want to invest.

No harm, I love Lollipop Chainsaw but it's a bit of a niche title.

gold_drake941d ago

yeh it was super niche even bk then

LoveSpuds941d ago (Edited 941d ago )

Loved it back in the day and have my copy sat on the shelf and ypu are right, it was super niche, which is why my copy is increasing in value slowly but surely. Hoping a remaster doesn't tank the value of my PS3 copy
