its impressive what ms has done with the 360, they abandoned the original after 4 years but truly have made the right decision and have stuck by their guns with the 360 and its paying off, despite any of its issue which all consoles have its still chugging right along and while it might not be core exclusive heavy it still has the right mix of games form all angles and xbox live just keeps getting better, good going ms, great round up-wrap up article as well.

Xbox live and the controller (not for fighting games) are mainly the reason why I prefer to play most of my multiplats on the 360.

omi25p5381d ago

Same with me. People say that Xbox live isnt worth the money but for me i will happily pay the money for Party chat alone, I mainly play singleplayer games and im always in party chat when playing them.

Even if im on the ps3 playing a singleplayer game im still have my xbox turned on and in party chat.

ilikegam3s5381d ago

I know ay, xbl is worth it (I get my subscription cheeeeaaaap as) the controller is awesome (im not a fan of fighting games anyway so its algud)

Imo multiplat games is more play to play on x360, so i leave all the exclusives of mine on ps3, even though i still get the xbox exclusives obviously :D

I kicked some @ss in Gears 2 last night and chatting with people is awesome so Xbox Live is well worth the money for me.

That's hilarious! To use your PS3 you first have to turn on your Xbox 360? :D

360 games are good, I love Alan Wake and Lost Odyssey but I will not buy a 2nd 360, I lost confidence in the hardware.

I truly believe the next Xbox won't have any disc read issues, RRODs or loudyness problems. If that happens and it is backwards compatible with 360 then I can finally finish my 360 games I couldn't because of 2 red lights.

gamingdroid5380d ago

RRODs and loud noise only affected older units and then only some of them (granted more than they should), but disc read issues have never been an issue unless your machine is worn out which affects all machine. The disc drive is the first part that goes out usually because it is mechanical.

The great thing about the Xbox 360 is the ability to install the entire game to the hard drive. Faster game loading and zero noise!

Xbox has indeed come along way and changed the industry when many laughed it off and said it could never compete, what are they to say now

reminds me of 1994 when people laughed at SONY and said they could never compete with Sega or Nintendo, what are they to say now

GamersRulz5381d ago

I wouldn't say they changed the industry, but they did a good job especially in the US.

outlawlife5381d ago (Edited 5381d ago )

how can you say they didn't?

xbox live completely drove online gaming to consoles and because of that connectivity in games is one of the key development points

that seems like a rather large change to me

clockworkrazor5381d ago

I completely agree ForRome.

I will admit that I hated Microsoft as a company for many years. It all started with Windows ME and then it blew up when I had TWO Xbox360 red ring in the same year back in 2007.

Microsoft has done a truly impressive job at turning all that around and becoming a company that better supports its community and does a decent job at supporting the Xbox360.

I love Uncharted ,Twisted Metal and God of War but I game on Xbox360 because even when I had a PS3 I was still spending 90% of my gaming time on my Xbox360.

I will miss out on Uncharted 3 and Twisted Metal but I still have Battlefield 3, Gears of War 3 and just about every other 3rd party game to keep me busy for the rest of this generation.

I never thought I would chose Microsoft over Sony but Sony just lagged behind on the online element for too long and Microsoft steamrolled so far ahead that I had no choice but to stick with Xbox360 this gen.

Happythedog5381d ago

You make it sound like the Ps3 has no voice chat, no invites, no friends list and basically the online for Ps3 is unplayable.

jessupj5381d ago (Edited 5381d ago )

I prefer PSN because virtually every 1st party game has dedicated servers. I don't know about anyone else but for me the whole point of playing a game is...well... playing a game, so lagless smooth gameplay is my priority.

I guess other people put a higher standard on the features instead of the experience. Each to their own.

gamingdroid5380d ago (Edited 5380d ago )

Dedicated servers is very nice on PSN. I wish MS would do that more and MS does with Gears of War 3, but it should really just be standard on all games on all platforms.

However, I also like the social aspect of gaming. So no friends/people to chat to, makes it feel like playing a single player game.

Also P2P isn't necessary unplayable, it's just occasionally you get the bad one. The vast majority probably can't even tell the difference.

"Gaming’s Biggest Fighting Franchise"

Press X to (seriously) doubt.

DarXyde22d ago

Underrated comment. I used to hate that game so much that any time my siblings asked me to play it, I just picked Hom and shut myself down mid-match.

Soy23d ago

And then MK1 killed it again.

15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.
