Games are usually a bold tale of the player controlling a character to ‘save the day’ simply put, but often the supporting characters are the ones who give the biggest impact in a game, and this list covers the best of them

Today, Portal with RTX is being upgraded with DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, multiplying framerates, as well as the transformer model for Ray Reconstruction and DLAA, enabling even better image quality. Portal with RTX is also adding RTX Neural Radiance Cache (NRC), a neural shader that improves indirect lighting, as well as a bevy of performance optimizations.

Discover 10 timeless video games from the past that remain absolutely playable today. From Chrono Trigger to DOOM, these classics have aged like fine wine!
Hot damn that's a good list. The only one i never played is AOE2 and i never finshed Chrono Trigger but it was damn good.
Speaking of what's old but holds up amazingly well and plays like a dream.. i played Symphony of the Night for the first time in 2019.. yep that's right. It became one of my favourite games of all time that i replay almost every year. I couldn't believe how good it was. That is almost impossible for me with newer games let alone older ones. Truly a special gem.
The only one I’d disagree with is doom. It shows its age badly I think. After 5 minutes of play these days you put it down.

Ayi Sanchez: "Old work. I did this 10 years ago now as part of a material test for a remaster of Gears of War 2 that never happened."
Weird, in mean they had no studios to make anything really new so there's a part of me thats kinda glad they scrapped it. If they released this back then it would of gotten ridiculed for remakes and remastering stuff. Now they have new and interesting games so the collection is harmless.
Geez, Xbox, something like that I would’ve bought Day 1. Great business decisions over there.
I can only assume the the Gears of War Remaster flopped so they decided to scrap the other remakes?
Seems short sighted to me as I really enjoyed the 1st remaster. Regardless, I'll snap up some remakes to play on my PS5.
I think Wheatley deserves an honourable mention.
Glad to see Sully up there though.
I'm going to begin by saying that this is a great top 5 list, I can't complain with the choices you've made. Some of them actually made me smile thinking back to the experiences I had with these characters in the games they were made for.
However, being a fellow journalist, there are a few issues with your article I think you should pay attention to. I'm not trying to insult you, just providing constructive criticism.
For one, you should know that the issue with Liara isn't choosing whether or not to *save* her, but whether or not to romance her; that's what her voice actress was talking about in her Comic Con interview. And the second image you have there isn't of Liara, just a generic Asari from the game. I'm sure you'd have no problem finding images of Liara showing this emotional, vulnerable side you mentioned if you searched just a bit more. It sort of makes it seem like you didn't spend much time experiencing Liara's character in the two Mass Effect games. I'm not saying you didn't, it just appears that way.
Aside from that, the article could have used a bit more proofreading before publishing; there's a few spelling and grammar errors here and there and it really messes with the flow of the article when it's read. It's obvious you put a lot of effort into writing a great article, so it would definitely be worth it to spend a few extra minutes proofreading it and touching it up.
Again, I'm not trying to be a petty troll. You wrote a great article and I enjoyed reading it. With a little extra effort and research I think it would have been flawless. I'm hoping this type of criticism only helps to improve your future articles. Good luck! :)
