Sequels. That’s how game designers feed their children and keep a roof over their heads. Usually, while great games can sell really well, it’s their sequels that tend to really bring in the real money. The primary reason is because sequels can be built on the engines of the original games, cutting cost, and selling for more profit after gaining brand recognition. As a gamer, there is nothing that makes me giddier than hearing that a sequel to one of my favorite games is in the works (I’m still waiting, Yu Suzuki!). But what happens when sequels are underwhelming, lacking in comparison to the originals, or just plain bad? Here’s a list of the five most awful video game sequels of all time…

Capcom unveils Dino Crisis-themed lottery merchandise, reigniting fan hopes for the survival horror franchise's return.

Legendary game designer Hideki Kamiya has expressed interest in directing a new game in Capcom's Dino Crisis series.
I'd say start with a remake. The original had some neat ideas but can greatly be expanded upon. Like trapping dinos behind laser barricades or tranq-ing them into submission. There is a lot of room to explore and flesh out these quirky gameplay mechanics.
If this happens then I hope they give us different level of dinasors some of them smart than other and of course good story and great gameplay

TNS: "Capcom has stated that it is "focusing on re-activating dormant IPs." One of those IPs surely has to be Dino Crisis... right?"
I certainly hope so. Loved the original
Also capcom has almost run out of REs to remake (I don’t think they need to remake 5&6, probably they could do 0, revelations, code Veronica and the original RE).
Capcom has finally revived Onimusha, dino crisis kinda naturally follows. Unless capcom decides to somehow revive final fight, 1943, ghost and goblins lol
People have been asking for a very long time.
Dino crisis 1 and 2 sold well. The problem was for what ever reason Capcom decided to make the third one Xbox exclusive (why?) when the series was originally playstation based and set it in space without the main protagonist Regina. They should make a fourth and set it after the second with Regina. They gave up simply because the third sold bad.
I feel like Pragmata, RE9 and Onimusha are keeping the teams i would want on Dino Crisis busy. But hopefully it's one of their next games currently in preproduction.
I definitely don't want their AA teams(exoprimal) working on it.
Dino Crisis
Maximo
Breath of Fire
Darkstalkers
Plenty of great IP in the Capcom vault
I didn't think Fable 2 was terrible...Started off like a kids game but it was fun balancing out multiple wives. For 10 bucks- I think it was worth it.
Now Perfect Dark Zero...thats a game that should have been scrapped from the get go. I made the mistake of buying it for like 5 bux and can't find a dumb enough shmuck to take it off my hands. It's going trade in rate is somewhere between .25-.75 so...
Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts is like the only one I think was a bad sequel because it really wasn't no action in it, but when I get some Microsoft points I'll try to buy the original Banjo-Kazooie that I had on nintendo 64, and Banjo-Tooie which I have never played the full game for yet, but I got the trial for both games though. I've also played perfect dark on nintendo 64, and I thought perfect dark zero was ok, eventhough it still could use some improvement, but it was ok. I've never heard of dino crisis, or shinobi. Fable 2 is the only I really disagree with about being a bad sequel, because Fable is my favorite action-role playing game series, and I loved Fable 2, and I think the storyline was the best out of the 3 Fable games. I've never played the first Fable, but I read about it on Fable Wikia. I played the Fable 3 demo, but not the full game yet. So I think Fable 2 is an awsome sequel, Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts is a bad sequel, and Perfect Dark Zero is an ok sequel. I don't have an opinion for the other 2 games since I never played those.
I thought this was going to be one of the more interesting top "insert number here" that I have read in a while until I realized I didn't know 4/5 of the games.
Shinobi on the PS2 was an amazing game. Once i bought my new PS2 (My 60GB PS3 broke), one of the first few games i replayed was Shinobi. Such a fun game. >.>
Fable 2 was a quality game these people talk out of their arse and probably havent even played it i got nearly 200 fun hours out of it
