This strategy arcade-style game stars a small, round, red character with large, pitch-black eyes named DEO. This crimson creature is charged with the task of traveling the serenity of space to create life and revive hope.
STP: No matter how angry those birds might be, they’re still pretty darn cute. Most iOS puzzle games are, in fact. But Deo isn’t. It’s an atmospheric game with haunting music and dark visuals, but it still retains the same style of play that’s become so popular on the iPhone, with addictive, yet occasionally frustrating, puzzle platforming play.
Pocket Gamer - It's difficult these days to stand out in the App Store, but Seattle studio Strapped to a Meteor (cool name!) has managed to do just that with its iPhone game DEO.
Even the first line of the game's description is intriguing - to me at least - "Enter the gloomy world of DEO".
The dark, gloomy art featured in DEO makes players feel as though they are engulfed in the aura of another world. As gamers beat each level they will be rewarded with the ability to build a planet as they progress within the game. As each player’s planet is built and continues to grow, it will begin to produce life.
