That's okay. Sony has given (and will be giving) us a few other MMOs with PS3/PC interaction. DC Universe, Free Realms, Dust 514, etc. (and The Agency one day maybe. lol)

Way to go, I really want to know how much freedom SOE has to not give the same support to SCE, I mean they could push MMOS on the PS3 like no one else...

What? SOE make mmos for PC like for years, why they'd start from scratch on a new platform (dev tools and stuff, not the console itself) and then port it to PC which is their main platform? XP

bit of a shame. console still need a good mmo to prove they can be done on them. i thought a shooter mmo would be a good fit.

DC Universe is a great MMO. The beta was fun and still be played today. The Green lantern DLC is awesome as well.

Who is trolling? I said DUCO is a great MMO. The beta was fun and (I missed a few words) The game is still played today. The Green Lantern DLC is awesome as well. From the videos I've seen, that is where my assumption is coming from.

I didn't know the DLC was delayed. I didn't see it get posted nor was I looking for it.

How am I being a troll by saying a game is great and pointing out that there is a great MMO on a console.

I think the Dust 514 game will be so similar to what this was going to be that PS3 owners wont miss Planetside 2.

I disagree!!

1. I don't think Dust 514 will do well on the PS3 and STATS do prove that shooters in general do better on the 360.

2. Eventually Dust 514 will come to PC and theres no way PC and PS3 will be on the same server in FPS combat.

3. If a PS3 owner ever played Planetside then they would miss PS2 but seeing how it's a PC Exclusive most PS3 owners have no clue to what it is.

Planetside 2 will be much more of a skill-based game than Planetside was as the Forgelight engine is capable of the physics. For example, headshots will be possible and snipers will have a harder time of it, as ballistic physics will be in game and they will have to account for wind shift and bullet drop. UC3 will be good but it wont have land, air & sea battles that last for days! literally! I mean go to sleep come back and jump back into the fight!

I bet Swotor & Diablo 3 each will sell more than Uncharted 2 and 3 combined!

Funny that they make a game for pc that ps3 couldn't handle with 2000 players in a huge battle using physx. ironic..

UNCHARTED 3 takes a MASSIVE dump on Planetside(s)....both of em, and I don't care what platform it launches on.

Planetside 2 will neither outsell Uncharted 3, nor will it outscore it.

Uncharted 3 will be THE game for Sony's whole company....Planetside 2 will simply be ANOTHER game.

Please don't even try a comparison of any type...it's ludicrous.

And by the way....we all already know DIABLO 3 is headed for consoles, so I'm not sure what your point is with that.

well to be honest , the first one kinda flopped , isnt really that popular and disappointed . It wasnt even half as good as the usual Starsiege tribe games from the era . Unless you were into pc heavily then , it's hard to remember the title

not really , i remember thataround 2009-10 the game had like 20k active player . And after checking back it peaked at 75k

It got a dedicated fanbase but wich dont usually ? And it wasnt was we would usually call a big mmo success .

That's actually a pretty good peak for the generation of MMOs it came out in. WoW is a HUGE MMO anomaly FYI, ~100k was once highly sucessful, but Planetside 2 will need more than that for sure.

That's lukewarm imo and dropped quite a lot quickly , followed by merging servers . A bit like matrix Online.

Planetside was a big launch not some budget obscure title . From the EQ and swg publishers to boot . Stil big and pupolar back then .

granted it had the odds of going for a new market with most interested mostly by the usual medieval stuff

Anyway again looking forward to the second game . The first was still enjoyable and there hasnt been any good fps mmo since

SoE usually makes a lots of money to Sony , even from its deemed failed project .

Plenty people care actually , and the incriminated guys that once landed it in its worst project are long gone .
