I think is will sell more than the 10 mil this holiday season. This thing is the new cool thing to have. Parent approved, girl approved, grand-parent approved and fitness nutt approved.

If you can understand why this thing will keep selling, in is only because your pride is misplaced. When you step back from this "Console War" crap and realize that people, who never played Video games, now all of a sudden can,you strat to understand that this is truely the way to grow the industry. It will not replace the controller, but it will bring people who would never otherwise touch a console.

This probably means a price cut coming soon for Kinect.

I doubt that Kinect will be able to do THAT well against the 3DS with Mario Kart & Mario 3D Land and the recent PS3 price cut .

I hope it does. Then M$ will completely forget about the core and the next xbox will completely cater to casuals. Then I'll lol at everyone that ever thought M$ was good for the hardcore gaming market. Hell, After gears 3, it won't be an xbox exclusive anymore and you'll only have an annual Halo to look forward to.

I really miss the old xbox,it had so many exclusives and now down to 3 with forza,halo and gears.(and no kinect stuff doesn't count)
I wish they had an HD remake of Knights of the Old Republic,that would be amazing but sadly its just shooters.

Kinect Star Wars and Disney if marketed like only it seems only MS is capable of, means yes certainly it should fly off the shelves. A price cut or just really good bundles and MS will once again do massively well out of it

I think people do need to realise that the audience out there doesn't comprise of mostly 'hardcore' types. It did once yes when games were less appealing to the potential audience, but now games or the enjoyment of softwares on these machines, these are appealing to the larger of that potential original audience- Wii and Ipad clearly show this very well. We're becoming less of that pie and to say the likes of Star Wars and Disney on Kinect not doing well for MS this year is fairly naive. I happen to love playing Kinect and i'm very much into Gears and Halo

MS knows however that to truly do this the right way, it needs hardcore experiences also. It has no intention losing a very valuable part of the why Xbox is wha it is

When you read the comments on N4G, you might think MS is in trouble. Actually they are doing well. Kinect is doing well, the Xbox division posted a 1 billion USD profit, and the lineup for the holiday season looks great.

Think about it. The current profit made by the Xbox 360 division is more than the playstation division ever made in its history.

And the other thing is, exclusives, these are the things that are talked about on sites like this rather than by the average joe consumer. There is more than enough games that he/she will see on the shelf and that goes towards informing their decision. Most people wouldn't likely know about Crackdown or Infamous. They walk in and buy a game. We are this tiny percentage

And anyway things are changing for both this new audience and those that don't maybe even want quite the same thing they've had served up to them for the past 20 years. If gaming remains the same tired templates again and again, well that would just be another crash. Iv'e played games since the early eighties and i'm genuinely getting rather bored of essentially the same games that have been around now for too long. I crave something different

Bare care, my 360 is gonna get some true lovin' with real games this holiday. You can be sure of it MS. None of this Kinect Disneyland bullshit. Battlefield 3 and Skyrim will rock my box. Not that Kinect shit. You can keep it.

Well i have sold my kinect and my move controller,i really thing that this devices are BS and i have yet to see a game that makes me want get back to use this devices again.But talking about kinect subject the only game that could own some of my time is Rise of Nightmares if its any good ,but if M$ thinks they are going to sell a lot of kinect just from introducing kinect avatar features or the option of scrolling the next dashboard waving the hands to the kinect camera,or by supporting recognition voice over kinect they are absolutely wrong.They sold what they sold last year because the thing was a new object and people were eluded by the marketing.But people dont fall twice special if theres nothing new to show with it.M$ thinks kinect are like mobile phones or ipads that sell,but the forget that every year a new ipad and new mobile phones brings always things that people consider like new features.Waving my hand to kinect camera or speak to it to shut down my 360 its not a new feature or a selling point

they didnt even top the charts last year in any region over the holidays
