OXCGN:
"It there’s any specific Ubisoft franchise that the world wants more of than anything else, logical assumptions point to Splinter Cell. And at that, more titles within the ranks of Chaos Theory, versus the style of Conviction.
"Slowly and slowly, information has been leaked out about the future of the series over the course of a year, and the pieces have been falling into place.
"OXCGN has done some research, compiled the evidence, and found some surprising answers.
"Sam Fisher’s return is imminent; the question is, will you see him through his journey?"

From the PlanetPlaystation.com feature editorial:
"Admittedly, Microsoft had some tough competition this year. With Nintendo pulling through with a brand new console and Sony playing their hand tight—but leaking out quite a bit of intriguing information—the XBOX 360 didn’t have very much to contend with. However, even disregarding the competition, Microsoft botched up their presentation with a mediocre performance. Here are Microsoft’s five mistakes that made an average presentation terrible."
Honestly, I didn't think it was as bad as this article makes it out to be. I was disappointed, yes. However, I was disappointed with all three this year. The only one that really excited me was Ubisoft. They're doing an incredible job with their games.
What is this trend now with every other article being a list of " TOP X " or " X reasons ".. i mean damn... isnt there anything else to write?
They had Usher as a major part of the conference. And they ended how we expected them to start. Definitely the worst of the big 3. With one of their major big new IP announcements being..... Nike. Nike. NIKE?

But it'll still contain 'action flick' elements, Ubisoft teases
I hope this is
A: True to the past splinter cell games and
B: Not 360 exclusive so I can play it
I would prefer it on the PS3 but I guess I have no choice in the matter...Lets hope this new splinter cell is Pandora Tomorrow good...GOSH that game took many many hours of my LIFE...... FTW!
Can't wait! I know I am going to get trolled for this buy I highly enjoyed Conviction but I also understood why they took that direction vs the heavy stealth. I have loved splinter cell since the first game and the story is really good (Clancy of course it will be good) but Conviction was the height of Sam's char. development. It mixed everything you knew from the previous games and then let him off the leash so he had nothing holding him back. I still hope they go back to more of the heavy stealth and I am curious as to where the story will take us next. They also need to bring back infiltration mode, that was the best multiplayer for the series yet. Being stealthy and having to work with a partner was great.
pandora tomorrow was realli realli good my cd got broken :( i love splinter cell and id like to see it come back 2 playstation and ill accept conviction if its given.
sweet, im buying the splinter cell collection, cant wait for a new one.;
Hopefully this will be on the PS3.
Such a misleading title. It's all guesswork.
Conviction did well for Microsoft, Ubi said all it would take was some more money and the next would be exclusive too. I can definitely see the next Splinter Cell being Xbox 360 exclusive yet again. Conviction was the first Splinter Cell game I was actually able to finish, loved the new style, graphics and story.
can't wait
and the play style is going to be based on the story of the game
conviction as the devs said multiple times was changed because Sam was not a part of third echilon anymore and seeing how his range of emotions came together from all the events of every other SC game. He was pissed and out for blood, i had no problem with the play style of Conviction, though i did miss the take it slow and don't get caught of the first 4 for Sam's char progression to come to a close like that the game play was perfect
im more interested where they will take the story, best guess would be going after black arrow and finding an even bigger terrorist threat and have to take that out.....and hopefully Grimm will be back
