I hate playing stuff on the PC; the immersion is lost.

Grip5389d ago

and why is that? bucz u have old cr@p PC ?

Acquiescence5389d ago

The setup for my consoles oozes atmosphere. Sitting at a desk, looking at a small monitor without surround sound and using a mouse and keyboard doesn't appeal to me at all. Just personal preference.

@grip...well said.

@acquiescence.....simple

1. plug pc into your big screen

2. plug your surround sound into pc

3. plug your controller into pc

i think your just making excuses because of the reason grip mentioned.

these games are made for pc so as point and clicks dont do well on consoles.

@solid snake

Well in order to do that I'd have to move the PC, the printer, the external hard drive and a crapload of wires into the living room. Yeah, that's not happening, for several reasons.

And I'm not making excuses, I mean look at the game! Asylum doesn't exactly require a top-of-the-line gaming rig to play it. It's not like I want to play The Witcher 2 for crying out loud. It just boils down to personal preference. Deal with it.

@ JsonHenry

Hooking your PC to your HDTV is feasible for you, but it's not a viable option for me. And I didn't say immersion is better on the console, I said immersion is better on MY consoles, because of the setup.

Genghis5389d ago

i used to have a gaming pc in my living room and did my work on my laptop. it was okay...it slowly became outdated so now it doesn't play anything...now it just sits there for browsing and youtube...kinda pointless now.

I have my PC hooked up to my HDTV and use a wireless 360 controller on games that makes sense to use a controller instead of KB+M. Not sure what you mean by immersion is better on the console.

But I agree, a game like this would work just as well as a Live-Arcade/PSN game. I like it when small company games like this get a wider audience. More people get to experience a great game and the company makes more money. It is a win-win.

it reminds me of that one part in indigo prophecy where you're trapped in the asylum. freaky...

Some promising games on the list, hopefully there isn't too much drama getting them finished.
