Jennifer Hale, celebrated voice actor for the female version of Mass Effect lead Commander Shepard doesn't play video games.
But she decided to play "middle-of-the-road Shepard," as she defines her choice to Bissell. "I want to hear my middle responses, because they're the hardest to land. Filling them with energy and emotion takes a lot of focus."
She only played the beginning of the game. She thinks she could have nailed her first line in Mass Effect 2 better, isn't so good with a right analog stick, and is able to possibly enjoy about an hour of the game before she's had enough. She doesn't seem to be smitten with Mass Effect 2—not from playing it, at least—but she does seem to enjoy acting the role.
Famed actress Jennifer Hale discusses the modern landscape of voice acting and how developers can collaborate with performers to make better games.

The voice behind Bastila Shan talks legacy, plot twists, bringing unforgettable characters to life, and the power of storytelling.

Bioware writes: "Like you, we’ve heard the rumors lately. You’ve made it clear you care deeply about what’s next. So let’s start by setting the record straight: the next Mass Effect game is in development, and EA and BioWare remain committed to telling more stories in this universe."
I expected nothing and I'm still disappointed
Like with Fallout, it's starting to feel studios are using TV / Film adaptations when they have no game info to talk about.
So the TV show will take place after the OG trilogy. I wonder which ending they’ll use?
Should’ve just posted a picture of an Elcor saying “regretfully, we have nothing to share.”
She didn't play the game. Way to research a role...
BIG STUPID JELLYFISH
Should be required to get familiar with the characters by playing the game beforehand....
Its like being in a Shakespeare movie but never reading any Shakespeare- you would be like "WTF is this???"
