Putting these two up against each other is not going to change anyone's mind. It's the internet people will be stuck with the console they have.

Each to their own. I like more choice and variety so my decision was easy. I have them all but out of the two in this article one is very underused. Just being honest. I couldnt give a sh!t about sales, sony dont send me any cheques but they do support my habit and more importantly my type of games more than the others do. Games get me hyped and ill enjoy the mediocre to great exclusives sony release just like those do who now scream multis keep them occupied when there hasnt been an exclusive release all year. So yeah, mediocre to great exclusives plus mediocre to great multiplats means i get more choice. Please tell me how i've NOT got the better deal here...id love to hear it

I use my PS3 primarily for offline gaming and my 360 online (although with the release of Twisted Metal that might change!).

Both have their own advantages and disadvantages. I'm more of a serious online gamer so the 360 is no doubt the console of choice in that regard as far as I'm concerned but the PS3 is definitely the console of choice for when my mates come round and we want to play some local games (Fifa etc) and watch movies/ browse Youtube.

Each to their own.

Both consoles have the good and bad parts but luckly with both the good well out weighs the bad. Both consoles work really well, The online services get constant updates from Both Sony and Microsoft.

Both have good variety of exclusives that are already released or soon to be released and both play multiplatform games at a high quality.

It all comes down to what your looking for in a console, If you want i much more social experience. eg always being able to speak with your friends and jump into online games quickly then the xbox is a better choice.

If your interested in a cinematic experience with some of the best looking games then PS3 is your best bet.

But either way both consoles provide a soild experience. But while the xbox is better and one thing the ps3 is better at something else.

Each console has their plus and minus. I play both have fun with both and care about the games and the games only.

The more I read these ridiculous articles, the more I realize that the people posting these stories have tiny weenies.

I don't really get into which is better. I like xbl better than psn. I have both consoles. I buy all multiplatfrom games for 360 and just use the ps3 for their exclusives and the bluray.

i've owned a ps3 since launch. Now, I own all three consoles. If you see a few games you like, you will have no choice but to get the other consoles.

great article in my opinion i would want devs to work on the ps3 version then the xbox since that would make porting easier since porting to the ps3 is always poor(EX:bayonetta, black ops, etc) to me ive had fun with multiplatform games rather than exclusives my fave exclusive franchise is infamous that is the most innovative one ive seen and liked

Leading the console war? these comments still going on saying that the 360 is leading cos its sold more? Well Der of course it has its been out longer. Take that head start away and the ps3 has actually outsold the ps3.

Wanna know which console is the best, look up DunhamSmash and Cheese gravy on xbox live. These 2 are zipper associates helping develop the socom series and ask them why they don't play on PSN. I think you $ony fanboys will be quite surprised. That is really sad. They won't even play their own game. And yes I own both systems and play mostly on live but do play sony exclusives. I prefer the party availability when playing games, and if you talk online with sony, it sounds terrible.

I don't have the time to play on multiple consoles so i just get one each gen, however if Sony had sold off most of their developers and MS purchased a ton of new ones i would have gladly switched.

i hate the dashboard on xbl its confusing to me and the controller it big and clunky imo even though it looks like a dreamcast controller and its funny how similar they are too.

On the 360 at some point I'll be getting Gears 3, but, for PS3 alone just for the fall I'll be getting Resistance, Ico collection, 3rd party stuff and most importantly Uncharted 3. Plus a bunch of blurays.

I agree with the guy in most points, although whether to choose between Move and Kinect id say neither. Both are fun id rather have the traditional way of playing. Similar with the article is that I like the PS3 because it has a variety of exclusives. Im not a fan of shooters and after finishing the campaign in Resistance 2 I haven't played it since!

I used to have the best of both consoles one ylod fixed that never going back,had one red ring but got another straight away going pc and xbox next gen,i just didnt find the ps3 that fun and now i have a bluerayplayer im done. May get a new wii it looks sweet.

Same reasons I have moved over to PC gaming mainly (stuck a Blu-ray drive in recently for just £32).

I think that Sony have the best lineup of exclusives while Microsoft have the best online service but that just my piece of cake

From technical specification hardware standpoint game studios have clearly demonstrated playstation 3 is a more powerful console then xbox 360 even in earlier multi platform games like fight night round 3 for example the details on the boxers was night & day better on playstation 3 versus 360. Multi platform games continue to get better on playstation 3 as many multi platform studios have realised how to fully harness playstation 3 to it's full potential by running in parallel really makes a world of difference & it shows in not only in exclusives like uncharted 3 but multi platform games like battlefield 3 for example.

Now that Jim Ryan is gone just need to remove Herman Hulst from his position! And maybe give Shuhei the position he deserved.

This gen hasn't been the best for games, last gen consoles are still out there and now there's been talk of the PS6 and Xbox Two for a year or so. Many games this gen will be ported to next gen and the cycle will continue. The re-release of the Neo Geo AES+, games on cartridge for £70 ($95), gaming is going back in time. Gaming has gone pricing mad with the high cost of games, consoles and controllers. The men and women at the top are clueless.

I miss the first three generations of PlayStation. The way they turned PS3 around, we knew they meant business. We were all worried for a bit there around launch. Eventually from 2008 they started shifting slowly. But since Yoshida was fired, it's never been the same. Still enjoy my PS5 daily. I got a backlog dating back to PS2 lol So I'm fine but new games aren't as appealing anymore.

It seems like we were thrown on to the worst timeline possible where everything is too expensive and the wrong people were put in positions that makes the world a shitty place. We could have had Shu as the head of PS but we got the shitty alternative. Same goes for everyone in power around the world. Doesn’t matter the company or country the majority of us got the shitty picks and the world is declining like never before. I do think PS can come out of this because of their studios, talent and IP but they need someone more in touch with gamers leading things like Shu was. They’re still the best place for console gaming imo but it could be much better than it is especially without the massive live service failures. The rest of the world I have a lot less hope for right now. Hopefully the pendulum swings back towards the good ole days but I’m preparing for the worst.

There's another guy who recently "retired" as CEO of another large gaming company, after doing a dismantling job as lead for well over a decade.

seems legit, the business man, fires the one who has ideas to move the business forward.

Jim Ryan is the reason why we are entering year 6 since the PS5 launch and many of us don't feel like the PS5 has gotten started as yet.

I hope going forward, we will see a return to form.
