
Not much can describe the adrenaline rush that came with Gearbox’s now legendary 2009 FPS Borderlands. The game transcended a lot of expectations and created a very enjoyable gameplay experience, however flawed it may have been. Combining the fast paced gameplay, fun and wacky weaponry, and more spunk than the average person can handle, Borderlands is in the handful of stand out titles this generation. As a result, it has developed a massive fan following. The game itself sold so well, and got so much critical acclaim, that a sequel was just begging to happen. In fact, I had my money on a sequel being announced very shortly after I beat the game myself. I had it quite spot on. After a surge of rumors of Borderlands 2 coming soon, it finally happened, and gamers everywhere let out a squee like a preteen at a Justin Beiber concert.
