SFL Chronicle: This new article is going to cause a lot of dissent, because nobody really likes hearing that their favorite games in the world are “overrated” or flawed. So take this article for what it is: what I personally feel are the five most overrated games of all time. The games do not necessarily have to be bad, just overrated. What counts as overrated? Either games that sold more than I think they should have, or games that got obscenely high reviews I felt they didn’t deserve, or a combination of both. Keep in mind that these are all opinion based, so you’re welcome to strongly agree or disagree, or even agree to disagree altogether.

Rockstar has launched an official marketplace for "every server and every player" to buy mods: Cfx Marketplace.
I wonder how much of this isn't just taken work of others who have modded for free.
Edit: Also, great way for R* to take popular ideas and build them into GTAVI based on demand.
Ah, perfect timing with them taking down the Bully online fan mod. Greedy a$$ company.
I'm not entirely sure how to read this, as it doesn't seem exactly like an exact parallel to Bethesda's paid mods shenanigans.
Rather than single player stuff, this appears to be aimed solely on Cfx Servers. From what I've gleaned, apparently Rockstar bought the Cfx mod team several years ago, coming a few years after weird contentions led them to ban a few of their members. Ultimately, the question is if they plan to keep this contained to only online/servers.
I have to guess to a degree yes. It'd be pretty hard to "force" paid mods for single player when modding files locally on your own machine, but much easier for servers they'll control. So perhaps this is their soft launch ahead of GTA6 online and they'll clamp down more tightly on non-official servers going forward? Ever since they've become a 1 or 2 property studio, I haven't really cared much for Rockstar stuff, so I'm not entirely up on everything surrounding this. Sounds like it has the potential to be problematic further down the line, but right now fairly easy to ignore...I think lol.

Nintendo of America is once again facing labor complaints from one or more of its workers. Game File reports that new charges accuse the Switch 2 manufacturer of violating sections of the National Labor Relations Act dealing with worker organizing and related union activities. These come just a few years after the company settled a previous labor charge with a former tester for $26,000.

Sega's hardware went further leaps and bounds than most people would have expected. Even in today's market.
"In fact, it wouldn’t surprise me if SegaNet inspired Microsoft to do something with its Xbox Live network, which has easily grown into something on its own over the years."
It did—down to having to pay for a subscription and... Horse Armor DLC!!! 😱🤯💀. In fact, people that worked on SegaNet went on to work on Live before it was released.
SegaNet was the Demon's Souls to Live's Dark Souls—while the Sega Channel was King's Field.
It was an amazing piece of tech.. the vast majority of the games were arcade and it’s what hurt it.
I loved those games but the PS2 was just on another level, especially with Square, Rockstar and Konami exclusives and obviously GT3.
By the time the Dreamcast was canned in Japan in 2001, it'd only been out less than 2 years in Europe and the US. Turning back the clock, it should've been packaged without the dial up modem to keep the cost down, I don't think the broadband modem was released in Europe. At the last minute, SEGA canned the DVD format, although that might've bumped up the price.. With this, sticking to black casing as with previous consoles and lastly, a better controller would've bagged more sales. Dreamcast probably wouldn't have hit PS2 numbers, but when it died, it was the biggest shock in gaming history. SEGA have never really recovered.
Did I read the title correctly?
I agree completely with GTA IV, can't comment on III because I never played it. Bioshock is in no way overrated and I think that Bioshock 2 is underrated.
1- MW2: look, another shit CoD game on the list!yes, the call of duty games are a goldmine of overrated FPS.
2-Mario galaxy:so overrated game!
3-Chono trigger:overrated a lot.
4-Soul Calibur IV:good game for a bit but it doesn’t deserve to rank nearly as high as it does.
5-Final Fantasy X (will never understand why this was the first in the series to get a 'sequel, it was just awful)
I actually agree with Half Life, never saw the appeal there. Valve to me has done 2 games right, Left 4 Dead 1 & 2.
I'd throw MGS4 on that list as well.
WTF Half life 2? Grand Theft Auto IV Grand Theft Auto III overrated??? We would have half the games we have today if it wasnt for GTA III. Half life 2 is amazing and so is GTA IV
