Hope so. It might not have done well in sales, but it was a decent enough game for me to want a sequel ;)

Micro_Sony5392d ago

For some reason I could not get into it. Enjoyed Borderlands 10 times more.

One game that really did get over look was Metro 2033 - played this game last night and I was expecting another FPS but the game amazed me and I could not put down the controller.

I am glad that its getting a sequel and hope THQ market this game more.

Kran5392d ago

I think its because Metro 2033 was a lot different to your average FPS. When Homefront was announced, people thought it would change the FPS genre... it didnt. It was just another FPS.

When Metro 2033 was released, it changed FPS because it did what other FPS dare not to do. Ammo was scarce (unlike most FPS where you tend to have unlimited...) and you always had to check your surroundings, something you never do in average FPS. It was also about survival; you had to keep checking your gas mask which added a massive challenge, which just added that extra bar.

I too cannot wait for Metro Last Light and I may just get it on the PC because the graphics... look stunning. I think they're on par with Battlefield 3 on PC.

Micro_Sony5392d ago

Agreed. When I played this game I could not help but think how basic Call of Duty is compared to Metro in game play and story. I could go on and on about this game but I would need a blog for that.

One thing I will say is that no other game has touched me emotionally like how Merto did. The kids playing in the Metro were perfect and it really made me think how much we take life for granted.

As much as I like the game I hope they change and add few things like:

The way you choose your weapon - some times it would take me a long time to go from knife to shot gun.

Add some RPG elements because this game has the right setting for that.

The gas mass is a nice idea but I really wanted to explore the world when I went top side but had little time to do so.

The breathing noise in the mask got a little annoying after awhile.

The only thing I want from Bulletstorm 2 is more precise hit boxes on enemies. It was a fun game and I really enjoyed it but have to qualify my statement with I didn't pay for the game. I borrowed it from my brother and beat it on normal. It only took about 6-8 hours. I'd prefer co-op in single player campaign.

MaxXAttaxX5391d ago

Are they actually gonna make it more fun, challenging and less repetitive this time?

Bullet Storm sold good on the 360, it sold poorly on the PS3, however, no surprise there.

I hope Bullet Storm 2 has campaign co-op. If Gears 3 can have 4 player co-op, Bullet Storm should at least have 2 player co-op.

It was a very good game, however, the PS3 community kept hating on the game.

Glad Bullet Storm 2 is on the way.

chasedagreat5392d ago (Edited 5392d ago )

bullet storm was trash.
the only reason it sold better is because of the gears 3 beta bottom.if it smell sh!t then it is sh!t

mcstorm5391d ago

otherZinc I agree with you I enjoyed Bullet storm but sales were affected because it was more or less a SP game. If they can make a MP in BS2 I see sales picking up. For me BS was a nice change to the FPS games and I enjoyed it. If they are working on a BS2 ill defo be picking it up.

paintsville5391d ago

This was an awesome game for 360. I can't wait for Bulletstorm 2. Unreal Engine rules.

Cajun Chicken5392d ago

Awesome news. Really hope it is, loved Bulletstorm.

InNomeDiDio5392d ago

ME too! Completed it on very hard 2 times and it was a hell of Fun. I really want Bulletstorm 2.

Raven_Nomad5392d ago

I hope so, they clearly leave the game open for a sequel. Shame these new ip's aren't selling better or turning a profit. People here at N4G are always complaining that we need new IP's but then they don't buy them. BulletStorm was one of the freshest and interesting IP's to release in a long, long time. Guess like everything else, N4G is the minority in opinion.

Tyre5392d ago (Edited 5392d ago )

Excellent news! Completed it on hard twice, Fun! Looking forward to it, kick #$$ Di(I< T/t$!

slavish5392d ago

I wouldn't be surprised if this turns into a 360 exclusive. Sold like 3x better on 360. M$ needs all the help it can against sonys strong line.

MrBeatdown5391d ago

The better 360 sales probably had more to do with the fact that the 360 version was the obvious choice for multiplatform owners, considering it came with Gears 3 beta access. Epic probably has a lot more name recognition among 360 fans as well.

I'd bet Insomniac's multiplatform game would sell better on PS3 simply for the fact that there are more Insomniac fans on PS3 than 360.

Disney Should Buy Fortnite And Epic Games, Former Exec Says

The Walt Disney Company's new CEO, Josh D'Amaro, is a big fan of video games, and one former Disney executive believes D'Amaro would be smart to do even more in gaming going forward. This could include a buyout of a gaming company like Epic Games.

In an interview with CNBC, Kevin Mayer--a former Disney and TikTok executive who now runs Candle Media--said D'Amaro will need to take "bold steps" to help Disney make more money and grow its stock price. One part of this could be doing more in gaming, he said.

Apparently nobody remembers the absolute shitshow that happened when EA brought the Havok engine which was used as the default engine of the 6th generation like UE is used today.

SkilledGamer43d ago

You've got it wrong, EA bought Renderware not Havok. Havok was bought by Intel in 2007 and then Microsoft in 2015

Fishy Fingers43d ago (Edited 43d ago )

Nor was it ever a widely used or considered, game engine, Renderware was. It was and still is a physics/material simulation plugin for the actual game engines.

Profchaos43d ago

Yeah you're right i was thinking of Renderware. But point still stands Renderware was used literally everywhere from games like GTA 3,VC,SA to Sonic games and Tony hawk it was really the default industry wide engine that UE is today.

If Disney takes over Epic and UE we could face a situation where they change the terms of use for other game devs big and small. They could remove the licensing agreements currently in place and impose a payment per download model like Unity did which could cripple the industry.

TOTSUKO43d ago

Fck Disney stock and their shareholders.

blacktiger43d ago

Well I can imagine DIsney with their transgender Snowwhite and black cinderally and mermaid and other garbage. Imagine video games lmao!!!

shinXseijuro43d ago

You sound like a fun person to be around .

Huey_My_D_Long42d ago

Dumbass cant even spell Cinderella but apparently he's upset by the 1997 Cinderella classic starring Brandy. Almost 20 year old movie.
Just say you dont like black people man, we all know it.

rlow143d ago

I really hope this doesn’t happen. They ruin everything that they buy. Terrible company

Zerobalance43d ago (Edited 43d ago )

Trolling. Hope Disney take the Maval characters like Spider-Man and Wolverine away from Sony and make it themselves that would me laugh so hard.

"It is going to get so much worse in the video game industry...This will get worse and going to be bad and it's going to eventually get better." -Greg Miller right before it got worse

Agent7545d ago

Too many games, too many versions, download only games, game pricing, £700+ consoles, eye watering prices for controllers, four formats, gaming is one big mess.

gold_drake45d ago

id argue that epic games has alot of other revenue income other than fortnite, so their reasoning makes zero sense.
