SFL Chronicle: Not all video games take the chance to make a political or social statement, and I don’t personally mind that. Sometimes, I just wanna’ shoot sh!t and have fun. But when video games do take on difficult subjects, it’s surprising how much they tend to outpace our own reality. This article (one of hopefully many) is to discuss how games are working towards goals of equality, how tastefully and honestly these subjects are being handled, and how these subjects in the game world compare to the real world the players encounter on a day-to-day basis. Specifically, this week I will be focusing on LGBT subjects, and will focus on a different subject relating to equality in video games (racial equality, feminism, etc.) each new week.
"It was so offensive to me"

Dragon Age 2 set the precedent that the series would always carry our choices over, but was it worth it?
If the choices won't matter, why bother? Bioware works so hard at giving meaningful choices but rarely if ever carrying out the impact of such choices to the end.

Bioware writes: "Like you, we’ve heard the rumors lately. You’ve made it clear you care deeply about what’s next. So let’s start by setting the record straight: the next Mass Effect game is in development, and EA and BioWare remain committed to telling more stories in this universe."
I expected nothing and I'm still disappointed
Like with Fallout, it's starting to feel studios are using TV / Film adaptations when they have no game info to talk about.
So the TV show will take place after the OG trilogy. I wonder which ending they’ll use?
Should’ve just posted a picture of an Elcor saying “regretfully, we have nothing to share.”
That was such a well written article.
I'm already disappointed that it has been approved less than an article released after it that as poorly written and rambled about being addicted to generic shooter leveling systems and challengers.
Just like gaming needs equality so does this website. Don't be so conservative.
Now Dramscus won't call us idiots.
I'd rather have more surrealism in my games, thank you very much.
games do not outpace reality. movies, books, and video all are representations of a type of reality.
It's a fictional universe, you can make up anything you want.
Including Equality.
