IGN - The Top 25 Modern PC Games

IGN - Coming up with top 25 games lists is never an easy task. There are so many incredible products out there built by such talented people that deciding which make the list and which just miss it can be a painful process. The reality is there's only so much room, so invariably amazing titles have to be left off. As you may have inferred from the title of this article, this is not a list that spans the entirety of PC gaming's existence. In an effort to make the list more current, we've limited it to the modern era of PC gaming – from the year 2000 to today.

Personally it's kind of worrying how these lists hardly change year to year.

Dear IGN,

nostalgia is gay!!

get over it, half life 2 is an archaic shooter, it was great for it's time just like doom and quake were, now I shudder to play a game with no Aim down sights and health packs, loading screens at odd intervals, sound effects that sound ripped out of the sci-fi channels catalog of 90's features.

just like I would not buy a car with a tape deck, all those 'mos that hang out at McDonald's and Big Boys parking lots on weekends with their lame cars from the '60's suck too!

Number one game of all time so far

Oblivion on PC

#2- The Witcher 2 pc

#3- Crysis 1 pc

#4- Stalker pc

#5 Demons souls-ps3

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit30d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing30d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9230d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
