
Square Enix Ltd. has announced an official and permanent price-cut for a number of Eidos titles on PlayStation Network. Six original PlayStation titles from big names name franchises are now reduced, and are playable on both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable (PSP).

Misleading, these aren't developed or published by Square or Enix, just owned after SE acquired Crystal Dynamic/Eidos/Etc
Square is the one who decides upon these titles now. Pricing in this case.
What about the US?
about bloody time, 8 quid for a single disc ps1 game was ridiculous.
let's see if they price new single disc games at the lower price or if they'll go back to 8 quid.
and now scee have given them a way to publish ps1 games that were never available in europe on the eu store they better get parasite eve out here pretty damn sharpish.
