With this remaster, Firefly Studios have added a competent new sheen to their most popular game, Stronghold: Crusader. This is likely to be enough for those nostalgic for the 2002 original, but the game’s aged, frustrating mechanics may be uninviting for newcomers.

He doesn’t know what the multiplayer portion of the game is like because he hasn’t tried it. He can’t comment on any new maps, units etc because he hasn’t come across them yet.
Sounds like the last time the guy played it was back in the ‘90s and he’s been paid to review the new game based on his 30 year old nostalgic memory. The whole thing reads really weirdly.
