Chris Buffa (Modojo): Sega plans to release Aliens: Infestation, a 2D action shooter inspired by Metroid and Castlevania, but set in Twentieth Century Fox's celebrated Alien universe.
Currently in development at WayForward, the same talented programmers behind Mighty Milky Way and the respectable Thor: God of Thunder, this over the top homage to the classic films sends players deep into the heart of the franchise, where they'll join the colonial marines and battle xenomorphs across a plethora of memorable locations, including planet LV-426 ("It's what we call a shake and bake colony."), the derelict ship from Alien (complete with mummified Space Jockey) and the seemingly abandoned Sulaco from Aliens.
Aliens: Infestation is a classic Nintendo DS title, and one of the better videogames spawned from the Alien franchise.
