Has Yuke's been milking the same old tired game for the past decade?

Square Enix launches Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary site, revealing new Nomura art, books, music releases, and merchandise.
Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

LucasArts gave Jango Fett his own game in 2002, and it pulled Star Wars into a much dirtier, rougher, and more interesting corner of the galaxy.

A brutal reset, a smarter story, and a return to what made it great—Mortal Kombat (2011) revived the series.
15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.
I haven't really played any wrestling games since probably the 3rd on PS2 and from what I've seen and heard the newer ones aren't particularly good either. Great article though, gave me a few chuckles.
Smackdown Here Comes The Pain was really good. One of my favourite PS2 games.
The games don't improve much year on year but if you haven't played one since last gen, you should play 2011 because you will notice a huge difference. It is more realistic and enjoyable and can be fun online if there is no lag. Though Yukes have been milking it and they should really only release one every two years. Worth a rent but not a purchase.
I didn't like his rant on Just Bring It and Shut Your Mouth.
Just Bring It gameplay was better than the arcade like PS1 Smackdown games. THQ overcharged for it though as the title felt like a demo. Shut Your Mouth was better . Here Comes The Pain was the best but its too bad when never saw them improved on the formula. The Vs Raw games are just horrible.
