The new Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, Ridge Racer, Silent Hill and more are all being developed outside Japan. What does it mean for these beloved franchises?

Another new first-party Nintendo Switch game sale is happening, including Super Mario Odyssey, Donkey Kong, Luigi's Mansion 2 HD, and more.
..It's America again. Articles a waste of time for the rest of the world.

Devil May Cry 5 surpasses 10 million sales as Netflix animated series drives major surge in franchise popularity.

It's been six years since Capcom dropped Devil May Cry 5, but it's still more than worth replaying in 2025 thanks to its rich gameplay.
Because the anime is on Netflix and we gotta ride that DMC in the news again wave.
It’s been sitting in my backlog for a while now. One of the first games I wanted to try for this current gen due to the long load times of previous gen. I’ll get around to it soon!
Everytime its on sale I think about buying it but never do. I only played the orginal and somr of 3 so I guess that's part of it.
.
Western Developers make a JRPG.
That or I already missed one.
Am I the only one on here who wanted Luigi's Mansion 2 to get a console release, maybe for the Wii U.
I probably won't be buying any of these games except for Silent Hill and maybe RE:ORC, and that's only if it turns out to be a good game. The rest of these lost their appeal not necessarily because they aren't being developed in Japan, but because they're so far from what I expect from their respective series. The only exceptions would seem to be Luigi's Mansion and Silent Hill, although I really can't speak for Dead Rising or SEGA Rally since I've never played any of the games in those series.
Edit: Case in point on Silent Hill, and this was said at E3 too, they're not changing things to make it "modern" a la DmC, they're trying to make it similar to the earlier games in the series.
DMC is really disappointing, The more I see the more I don't like... Im not saying a reboot was a bad idea I just think the way they're going about is just not appealing to fans, Well at least me. as for Luigi's mansion 2 and Silent Hill Downpour I think they have great potential.
japanese developers make western like games all the time
