A third title from Chillingo has launched as part of this week’s line-up, Hungry Chicks is an example of responsible parenting at its cutest! Developed by indie studio KadaMedia, Hungry Chicks offers thirty six levels of gaming cheeriness, and combines simplistic touch controls with beautifully varied puzzles.

It has been another week where the only games Avault's Matthew Booth was able to play were on his iPod Touch. His lack of time and the portability of his iOS device have made it evident to him why apps have had such an impact on mobile gaming. For those of us that really enjoy gaming but find ourselves consumed with non-gaming priorities, having one of these mobile devices can provide just enough entertainment to curb that urge. This week’s app selection is mostly for a younger audience, but he still found them enjoyable and suitable for short sessions. He was also included in some beta testing for what is shaping up to be one of his favorite apps – Zen Wars. While it hasn’t been released yet, it’s worth mentioning early on so that it can find it’s way onto everyone’s radar.

GameZone's resident app expert gets her hands on a few hungry chicks, and leads a band of cat heroes in the iPhone games Nine Heroes and Hungry Chicks. She assigns each game a Buy It or Skip It.
