Sooo... it's GTA with stupid looking cat masks and squid hats?
Cool story bro.

Hanif-8765462d ago

I prefer GTA IV....saints row 3 is way too wacky for me :-(

MaxXAttaxX5462d ago (Edited 5462d ago )

Except Saints Row doesn't take itself too seriously. More fun weapons. More customization. No getting calls every 5 minutes. Less scripted. Fun.

lh_swe5462d ago

I could legitematly get soooo booored playing GTA IV...thats not a good sign, when a game feels at all like work, they're doing it wrong ;)
Not for a second was Saints Row 2 boring, not a second...sure the script was less of a mastepeice, sure the car damage had more of a PS2 feel, the city design a bit lacking etc etc but it did have something GTA IV didn't namely freedom! It didn't try to nail you down to do exactly what the game set out for you to do.

Halochampian5462d ago

Saints Row the Third was one of my favorite games at E3. It looked like a blast and great humor

Nintenuendo5462d ago

...and a million times more fun.

SilentNegotiator5462d ago (Edited 5462d ago )

No, more like GTA with fun instead of escort/taxi missions.

'Why are we not making a bigger deal about this?!'

Grip5462d ago (Edited 5462d ago )

God kill these games !!!.. i mean who the hell want to walk in street wear Dildo on his head and throw ppl in Canon?????

CptFlashHeart5462d ago

Who wouldn't more like?!?!?!

lh_swe5462d ago

Yeah, the more wacky and weird this game gets the more fun it'll be..and I had a billion times more fun playing Saints Row 2 than I did GTA IV.
Because if you think about it San Andreas was wacky, it drove more for insane fun rather than realistic world and that was their most popular GTA...Saints Row continues that legacy while GTA is abandoning it.

i love the freedom, it's not like you have to play the game over the top, but giving you the option to just have plain fun which GTA IV didn't have is an added bonus

i don't get the skepticism, you can have hours of fun and not even touch the story with all the options given to you

Nintenuendo5462d ago

I don't understand all of the hate either. I've always loved Saints Row (yes, even the first one), the games are just plain fun in the best way.

People seem to act like you either have to pick this OR Grand Theft Auto.

Why not play this for the over-the-top fun and crazy side missions, and play GTA for your down-to-earth story fix?

KeiserSosay47885462d ago

This game looks idk, um... FUN, like games are supposed to be lol

Slightly disappointing game but Wo Long had a good creator. I was impressed by Oblivion back in what 05, 06? But the worst i have ever seen, clearly, Valheim.

ModsDoBetter1156d ago

What was up with Wo Long?

Not looked at any reviews and did download it on my Xbox before I sold the console but never got around to playing it. Saw it drop in price on PS5 and was thinking of picking it up.

RE: Character creation

Oblivion hold a special place for me, when it came out on PS3, it was the first game of its kind that I had played and the character creator took was amazing.

I do like Monster Hunter: World & FFXIV, personally.
Cyberpunk did good in that department, despite its numerous flaws.

IamTylerDurden11155d ago

I played Oblivion day 1 on 360 and was impressed with the creator. Damn near 20 yrs ago, it was impressive at the time. Special game, unfortunately 90% of current gamers on social media have not a clue about the older stuff. Elder Scrolls is just Skyrim to many. They know not of Gothic and the old guard that paved the way. Flimsy ass rhetoric and recycled opinions about the same bs is what garners attention. Meme culture. Insight and intellect hold no place on the current day internet. Fuck likes, follows, BS. I say what i believe is relevant, what i'm interested in, and following means fuck all bc i don't respect 99% of the ppl online anyway.

For the "TLDR" bs. I'ma not space it out on purpose. Fuck you very much folks.

isarai1156d ago (Edited 1156d ago )

Honestly the one I remember being easiest and flexible enough to make any character I imagined was the PS2 WWE games, and Saints Row 2. I did really enjoy Dragons dogmas character creation too

EternalTitan1156d ago

Where is Black Desert Online?

IamTylerDurden11155d ago (Edited 1155d ago )

I was gonna mention Black Desert but the game is horrible so...

Creator was the best part.

bunt-custardly1156d ago

Lol CP 2077 is one of the easiest and less detailed editors around. It's all a mish-mash of presets.

Honorable mention to Drive Clubs Ferrari Fxx-K. Should be there over Horizon.

The Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak from the Gran Turismo series

Nissan Skyline from Need for Speed Underground

Motorcycle Steamroller from Dead Rising 3

And finally a car you never drive but saves your ass over and over : Honey Badger from COD MW2

Gardenia1260d ago

I was thinking of Mad Max. That V8 felt really good to drive around in, especially with upgrades.

dumahim1260d ago

No one liked the Batmobile in Arkham Knight. Top 10?

toxic-inferno1260d ago

I don't know... It was a strange addition to the game, and the parts of the game where you had to fight in it were tedious. But driving it around Gotham felt brilliant.
