Regarding EA's Origin

Crysis 2 was pulled from Steam a short while ago. That’s right, if you haven’t yet purchsed it, you are out of luck, at least when it comes to Valve’s download service, now. What happened? Well, the people over at EA decided to take yet another shot at launching their own store. Their original EA Store sucked, so they dropped it in favor of their new Origin service. Origin is basically EA’s own Steam knock-off.

Who's that chap in the picture?

"The way I see it, both services install annoying software on my computer. Both are run by companies that have no qualms about locking people out of their collections for real or imaginary violations. Both are effectively DRM. Neither offers much to compensate for the inconvenience"

lmfao move along this guy doesnt know what hes talkin about

EA didn't pull Crysis 2 and actually had no part in the removal of Crysis 2 from Steam. Here's a quote from EA:

"It’s unfortunate that Steam has removed Crysis 2 from their service. This was not an EA decision or the result of any action by EA.

Steam has imposed a set of business terms for developers hoping to sell content on that service – many of which are not imposed by other online game services. Unfortunately, Crytek has an agreement with another download service which violates the new rules from Steam and resulted in its expulsion of Crysis 2 from Steam.

Crysis 2 continues to be available on several other download services including GameStop, Amazon, Origin.com and more."

If you spent 10 seconds to research what happened you would of known this. Article is overall poorly written with what seems to be little research done and many grammar mistakes. It amounts to nothing more than a lengthy rant filled with biased opinions and misinformed judgements.

Agree with everything Alaric has written.

Although; I have put up with Steam and it has grown on me.

regarding Origin - hopefully EA keeps there foot set in stone and actually tries with this service.

competition is great.

Doesn't like Steam yet has to use it because all the new games use it for DRM so your forced into using it.

Doesn't like Origin because EA might shut it down.

I don't like the whole downloading games thing but if the companies aren't going to do any other way and you want to play a game then you'll end up having to use it at some point.

Battlefield 3 Cut Missions From Campaign Detailed by Former DICE Dev

Battlefield 3's former Lead Designer has revealed that there were two cut missions from the main campaign

XiNatsuDragnel426d ago

I wish someone can get those EA game leaks to see all the cut content ngl

anast425d ago

Get rid of campaigns, move the game to mobile, and try to compete with warzone. They would save time and money.

hmmm I think there will be no old BF glory days for EA since they are loyal to their greediness and laziness :D

Knightofelemia1211d ago

You're asking for a miracle with EA that will never happen unless they can exploit the money making schemes behind it.

MadLad1210d ago

We'll see what happens now that Zampella is overlooking the series.
