Ms. 'Splosion Man won't make wallets 'splode, priced at $10

It looks like Ms. 'Splosion Man will buck the fifteen buck trend on Xbox Live Arcade. Just like her significant other, Ms. 'Splosion Man will be priced at an oh-so-reasonable 800 MS Points ($10). The 'sploderific sequel is set to land on Xbox Live on July 13.

I'm sorry...this is a great game...but most iPhone games are $.99 a piece and I'd personally take Cut The Rope or Cover Orange over this.

I do understand your argument but we're talking about a different platform with a very different development architecture and pricing structure.

This isn't coming out for the app store, it's an XBLA title. If you've noticed, XBLA pricing and app store games pricing are considerably different. Priced at 800 points is welcome news to fans of the series, because most new XBLA games now are priced at 1200 points or $15.

I know it's not an App Store game. I just don't understand why anyone would pay so much for so little.

I know you guys are defending it, but what I said is true. It's too much money. $10 can buy you a lot more than this.

You haven't even played this game yet, so where is this "...for so little" coming from?

It isn't so much others "defending" the product, but rather you trolling this article. I'd recommend editing while you still can.

Former Xbox 360 Exclusive Free for Limited Time

A popular and former Xbox 360 exclusive is free for a limited time on Xbox One, Xbox One X, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and if you still have one, on Xbox 360 too. What's the catch? Well, the offer is limited to Xbox Live Gold subscribers, however, the free game isn't through Games With Gold. It's unclear why the game has been made free for Xbox Live Gold subscribers, and we don't know how long it's free for, but at the moment of publishing, all subscribers can download it free of charge and play it as much or as little as they want as long as they maintain an active subscription.

Microsoft's Summer of Arcade: Missing in Action

The waning days of summer are upon us, and for the first time in six years Microsoft hasn't kept the release schedule moving with its annual Summer of Arcade promotion. Part of that is no doubt due to the promotion's title. It's named after a delineation between downloadable "Arcade" games and larger retail games that Microsoft readily acknowledges isn't as relevant in the modern market. However, this summer passed us by without any similar promotion, even as Sony continued its PLAY program. Why? We can glean part of the answer by looking back at how the promotion developed over the years.
