Last night, GotGame got into an exclusive live-stream demo for Catherine, being released this July by Atlus for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Catherine is a mix between a puzzle game and a dating simulator that has a heavy emphasis on storyline and characterization. The story of the game is presented in a Twilight Zone -like fashion, and makes the player a viewer of the show “Golden Theater”. This show tells the main story of the game, presented as a television episode, with the player controlling the focal character, Vincent. As Vincent, you must decide how to proceed through the story , balancing the relationship between your steady girlfriend Katherine, and the blonde temptress Catherine, who has ensnared Vincent with her seductive charm.
Plenty of unforgettable games have completely messed up their players throughout the years, all the way back from the PS1 days to the dark recesses of the modern internet.

Deadly Premonition is a pretty weird game, but all of these absolute oddities are even weirder.

Paul writes: "Games can be many different things to different people. The subject of this Looking Back article is something a little different however, as it deals with infidelity and the fallout that comes the way of the straying main character. Intrigued? Well, come with me to the weird world of 2011’s Catherine!"
