Last year at E3 2010, 2k revealed that they were bringing the RTS hit, XCom back from the dead with some FPS flash-bangs, and some strategic flare. The game caught our eye, and was a mild hit for those who were behind the scenes to catch a glimpse of it. XCom’s returned to E3 2011, revealed more gunplay, more gameplay, and some very cool new weapons.

The XCOM Complete Game Bundle includes lots of DLCs and games playable on the Steam Deck. You can save over €220 on the 17-item bundle.

With E3 starting next week, 2K Games revealed the biggest E3 line up they have for the year

COG: A group of industry veterans from the XCOM franchise have teamed up to launch the new turned-based tactics studio Bit Reactor.
From the *new* Xcom franchise. The original was developed by Julian Gollop and Mythos games. He is currently in charge of Snapshot games and his latest take on Xcom was Phoenix Point.
I'm all for more tactics games. played Phoenix Point on Game Pass (ended up purchasing it), it's good...but doesn't have that same XCOM 2 feeling. Would love to see what these guys have to offer
The problem for me is, the E32010 demo looked very quirky, with the squiggly black designs and monolithic block enemies .. and the E3 2011 demo looked like someone had asked them to 'Tron it up a bit'.
Suddenly everything looked computerised, generic and it stole away the unsettling feeling of the previous demo entirely.
I've never heard of X-Com before the announcement of this game, so I looked it up and saw that it was a RTS game for the PC. Seeing the new XCom game I can see why fans of the old games are confused, but it would actually be kind of neat if they used a style similar to Valkyria Chronicles that combined RTS and FPS elements. Any old fans here think that might be a good idea? Not that it actually will happen.
