They screwed up big time with this title, being unable to save the only save file you're allowed to have is one of the biggest mistakes I've ever seen.

EYEamNUMBER15458d ago

no they screwed up by developing this game in less than 1 year

when you look at this and the early revelations demo the differences are HUGE
mercenaries still looks great but they really rushed it

the reason i want it myself is mainly for the revelations demo

I dont know why but the visuals seem a bit stale to me for this title. The game does have some ugly textures every now and then.

But overall its the best looking 3DS game that i have seen.

IRetrouk5458d ago

nah zelda looks better than this, so does dead or alive and street fighter

MasterCornholio5458d ago

If your talking about Skyward sword i agree with you. But if its Orcania of time i would disagree because it looks like and upscaled N64 game. Dead or Alive and Steet Fighter 4 look good but not as good as their console counterparts.

Skyward sword isnt coming to the 3ds, its for the wii, and as for orcania, its been more than just upscaled the graphics have had a overhall, im playing it right now, and of course a 3ds game wont look as good as console versions, but we are talking about what looks best on 3ds.

The stupid safe file crap has NOTHING to do with why this game is flawed, although it doesn't help much either to some. It's the controls, the lack on content and the lack of "certain characters" that leaves this as a disappointment. Although, that's not to say it is impossible to never have a good time or god forbid any fun while playing it. It can become quite addicting once you suffer through the extensive control layout learner process, and eventually you come to enjoy its familiar aspects, like the original Mercenaries mode(s) were meant to be (ala RE4/5).

Can`t wait to break some zombie-necks between Jill Valentine`s thighs.

At first I was like, No Code Veronica on the list!? But then I seen Mainline. The list checks out, but I would personally put 2 over 4.

KwietStorm_BLM104d ago

I'll take 2 over 4 also. And even without a number, I don't see how Code Veronica, my other favorite in the franchise, isn't mainline when it's the actual sequel to RE2.

Rebel_Scum104d ago

The original RE was the best. Its not on the list which makes no sense.

The remake of it was alright but should be higher on this list.

-Foxtrot104d ago

The original RE smokes VII and Village, come on.

ivoryrolland9584d ago

i’m fine with people calling it “mainline,” but leaving out the original re1 entirely is wild, since it basically defines the whole series. i’d still put re2 over re4 for pure pacing and atmosphere, even though re4 is the more replayable game. also, the “mainline” label gets messy with code veronica since it feels more essential than some numbered entries. i swear half the time i’m reading these rankings i get derailed by random gambling tabs i opened earlier, including https://monopolybigballerli... and https://football-studio-dic... and https://red-baron.org/ which is a weird contrast to talking about survival horror.
