How about develop one for the Switch

PhoenixUp2958d ago

Cuz it’s far easier to use Dark Moon’s assets to make for a speedier remake

-Foxtrot2957d ago (Edited 2957d ago )

Yeah but it would be better for the Switch, in my opinion anyway

I don't think this kind of game works for handhelds. Dark Moon was average at best and didn't feel like a true sequel compared to how good the original was.

A perfect chance to bring the series onto the Switch and they don't do it.

The 10th Rider2957d ago

The series was actually high successful, so don't be shocked if they reveal a new Luigi's Mansion for Switch in the next year or two.

Prince_TFK2957d ago

It will come eventually. Maybe more info at E3.

You don't abandon a market you are leading and dominating in ( Dedicated Handheld ), when you have a 75+ million install base.

That would be a bad business decision.

They are keeping the dedicated handheld market alive and active until the 3DS successor.

They can't do it now because the Switch just release and they aren't trying to confuse potential customers.

So once the Switch has been out 3-4 years they will release a new successor to the 3DS that will be a dedicated handheld gaming device with it's own unique library and some shared games between Switch and whatever it's called.

^ I'm pretty sure this is what is currently happening.

It’d be nice if we could get a remake of Super Mario Sunshine next

The 10th Rider2957d ago

I think instead of remake Sunshine or 64, they should remake the entire game in Odyssey's engine with Odyssey controls and put new stars/sprites/moons in the worlds. I mean, it would be cool to replay the same levels, but at the same time it would be even better to revisit the same levels with new things to do.

[Editorial] What 2018 Could Have in Store for The Legend of Zelda (Rumours & Theories)

Fresh from a dalliance with a WarioWare for Switch Editorial, it is time to talk about the future of The Legend of Zelda and what we could hopefully expect from 2018.

With The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, being the phenomenal hit that it is, while Nintendo do deserve to take a bit of a break and enjoy the ride, along with those still playing the game, due to how large a game it is and the DLC content, what Nintendo really need to do, is to build on that success and 2018 is the year to do so...

I also have hopes my 3ds will go the distance, especially with the new 2ds.

Rumor: Grezzo Hiring to Bring HD Zelda Games to Switch?

A peculiar hiring listing has popped up for developer Grezzo, who are recruiting developers with experience developing HD games who want to create a Legend. Could it be the much-wanted Zelda HD collection, or a Skyward Sword HD remake? The listing even follows a previous listing from Grezzo for a majors's mask remake, which points even more to the fact that this is a Zelda-related project!

honestly I really want SS on switch. a zelda anthology HD collection would be amazing. do OoT, MM, SS, and maybe one other, and do WW and TP in another pack-in. It would be really smart on Nintendo's part!

Autydi3133d ago

Skyward Sword would be awesome! I loved that game and with the better motion controls of the Switch - it'd work really well.

guywazeldatatt3133d ago

SS had the best story of any Zelda game and it has the best version of Zelda. Maybe they can even add in some BoTW references. Thinking about it, with the time travel i the lanayru desert, what if you can come across the army that helped take ganon down and then got taken over by him. that would be so sweet.

bouzebbal3133d ago

SS strong selling point was the wiimote+ use which i think was very good!!!
playing it in standard controls would definitely kill the fun, especially for those who played the wii version.
WW and TP? Pointless since they are on the Wii U in high graphical fidelity.
i don't know if there is any zelda worth getting HD fecelift. i think they all got remade. At least the major episodes.

Shiken3133d ago

You know Switch has motion controls that are similar to the Wiimote in the joycons right?

Darkwatchman3133d ago

WW and TP being ported to switch wouldn’t be pointless because the WiiU was a “failure” it’s safe to say and the switch is definitely more popular. I guarantee many people that own a switch didn’t own a WiiU

bouzebbal3133d ago

"You know Switch has motion controls that are similar to the Wiimote in the joycons right?"
you will look great in the bus playing SS.

Shiken3133d ago

Haha, well obviously SS HD would have to be a console experience at home. No other way it could work because the motion controls are worked into the gameplay. They would have to recode the entire game, which defeats the whole purpose of doing a remaster on the first place.

So yeah, they could do it with the motion controls, but it would have to advertised as "dock mode only".

Table top could work, but it would be quite awkward to say the least. Handheld is out though for this game IMO.

Would love windwaker on the Switch. Such a fantastic game and would be fun to sail around and explore while travelling long distances.

ShadowNextGen3133d ago

I would LOVE a Zelda HD collection on my Switch.

pietro12123133d ago

Yes please! I would love to be able to play SS, TP and WW on the Switch.

Summons753133d ago

Hope so. TP and WW would be an awesome double pack for $60 or individually for $30 each. Skyward Sword would be cool if they revamp the game to 1) cut out a lot of the pointless filler that people hated (similar to how they shortened the Triforce quest in Wind Waker) and 2) make it playable on a controller.
