Nightmare Mode digs into the character of Cole Phelps, and finds many surprising things about who he is and what he stands for.
"Who is Cole Phelps?
I don’t ask because the game does a poor job of characterizing the guy. No, I ask because he has a quality that only very well written characters have: the ability to haunt me. Long after the disc stops spinning in my console, I wonder about the characters–the life they lead, the things they do, who they are. They stop being imprisoned within the game, and I start conceptualizing them as a person. I wonder what keeps them up at night. I wonder what makes them tick. I wonder what type of food they eat. I wonder what knowing them would be like. I wonder about all the small trivial things that one might wonder about a relative, a friend, a lover."

Members of the original development team behind Rockstar Games' LA Noire are working on a new psychological thriller called Sowden House.
Hopefully McNamara is as far away from this as possible he set up shop in Australia then did nothing but complain about Australian labour laws while trying to make his workers live at the office working 24/7 on la noire punishing them for leaving at 3 am and being 10 minutes late to work at 9am the next day.
It's astonishing that none of the workers went to the fair work ombudsman as the studio would have been fined astronomical numbers

([])Doubt- this article IS BULLSHIT! TELL ME WHAT YOU KNOW!?
lol jk
It's a very long article.
I don't really stay up at night and think about videogame characters. It's the mystery of the character which makes the story appealing. Like we don't know about his family life or why he done what he done so it makes the story more interesting.
But that's just my opinion.
he's the main character of the popular video game L.A. Noire... DONE!
sometimes i think nathan drake is a real person, i know hes not i just feel like he's real...
And yes game does a very poor job of characterizing any of characters in the game. I was extremely dissapointed by paper-thin characters in the game and very light story. Before I bought, I though thats gonna be my GotY, because I love story driven game, but man I was so wrong. Gameplay was fine, graphics was great, surface scan is revolutionary, but story and characters are "meh" at best. I just have to get it off my chest...
