Desperately Seeking Darksiders 2

An opinion piece for the upcoming release of Darksiders 2 that was written after the author recently completed Darksiders 1. Easy to relate to missing out on games because other games seemed more important at the time. Going back and revisiting those games you may have missed seems to be the only thing that can hold us gamers over until the holiday season and early 2012!

All the things this idiot thinks originated in the God of War series were in Devil May Cry, Soul Reaver, Legacy of Kain, and Zelda games long before there ever was a God of War series. Dude has no sense of gaming history. Oh well. What can you do. Sad.

Takoulya5433d ago

I love God of War, but you're right. That's like saying all FPS's are copies of CoD, because apparently CoD was the first game that was an FPS.

buttclown5433d ago

Most recent FPS's are trying to copy COD because of the success of that game. And palaeomerus, pretty strong accusations from just reading one opinion piece, funny how everyone that considers themselves a hardcore gamer also considers themselves an expert when no one but themselves is right.

Can anyone point out the line that states that anything originated in any game? Furthermore I think it's more relevant to keep things current and not pretend you were actually alive when The Legend of Zelda was released in 1986. Ivory towers usually topple over pal so quit trying to climb on top of one - you'll lose.

Ness-Psi5433d ago

I'm playing through the first one now as I didn't get a chance to when it came out, I think its an excellent game. cant wait for the second one.

TheGamersPulse5433d ago

Right there with ya! Can't believe we have to wait for more thana year and yet so much of the game is available to be commented on.

Because the PS4 has slow loading times I do prefer PS5 versions of games. The PS5 does load PS4 games faster but with a native PS5 version it loads much faster and it looks a bit better and better draw distance and such. So for me , I do want these 3rd releases for certain games and this is one of them. It’s one of my favorite PS3 games. Nobody is forced to buy it. It is not hurting anyone and it gives devs more money to make future games. These re-releases aren’t selling millions but it’s nice for people like me or people who never played the game.

It's a free upgrade for anyone that owns the PS4 and I'm assuming Xbox one version digitally.

jznrpg573d ago (Edited 573d ago )

I came back to add that it was free. Hard to be upset about a free upgrade. I would like to have a PS5 physical copy but it’s better than nothing

An intro to Biomutant

Alex & Mike talk Biomutant, a game from Experiment 101/THQ Nordiq you likely have not heard of. While the AAA side of the industry tends to homogenization and imitative, cinematic presentation, “AA” games remain creative and innovative in 2021. Drawing on inspirations as varied as Dark Souls, third person shooters & kung fu cinema, Biomutant is Ratchet & Clank on acid, developed by a team of 20 people.
