Basilisks are large egg-laying reptiles found most commonly in the desert wastes of southern Shara, though one variety has been observed around the aptly-named Basilisk Crag in southwestern Arun. Another species has rather inexplicably claimed Bestial Vale, near Crescentia, in the forested province of Arcadia, driving out or destroying most other wildlife in that area.
