Duke Nukem Forever had to come out. Duke is too good of a character for his main title to languish in development hell forever, and it’s likely if a different, new Duke title had been announced from scratch and released that it wouldn’t have gathered nearly as much attention even if it was a far superior experience. Duke Nukem Forever is solidly aimed at the fans who waited over a decade for Duke’s return, and in that sense it delivers what we all should have expected. It’s not a game that’s likely to woo new fans into the franchise. After this many years, it really couldn’t have been anything else.

Duke Nukem Forever originally began its life as a sidescroller instead of a shooter back in 1996, and that canceled version has just been leaked.
Very cool, but i don't know how real this is... I'll check it out later to find out.

Duke Nukem Forever, the troubled FPS from Gearbox and 3D Realms, has been restored to more traditional 90s shooter thanks to a sweeping “remaster” mod
kinda of a misleading title.
Mod features:
Sprinting removed and faster player movement
Jump height increased
Swim speed is much faster
Player can now hold breath underwater for 45 seconds instead of 15
Weapon rebalance and screen shake when shooting removed
2/4 weapon limit completelly removed
Quicksaves (F5 by default)
Depth of Field removed and new post processing effects
Driving sections are now in first person perspective
yw.

Duke Nukem Forever, the infamous and controversial FPS from 3D Realms, apparently looked much better before launch, as modders discover various cut features
Wow, that advanced lighting makes a huge difference to the visuals. I get that Gearbox tried to slap everything together and release a finished product. But it seems like they cut out a lot of content that would have made the experience more enjoyable. That's a shame.
This is an accurate score and review. The game isn't great but it does what it says it does and is fun to play. Even more so after a few brews.
I agree with this score (as I have posted on other reviews on here that are in the 6.5-8 range).
Its a fun game ! I have yet to see many detailed criticisms from commenters (which make me wonder how many have played it).
Although it has some shortcomings (the beginning is a bit dull, and the underwater sections are nightmarish at best) its an overal good product.
First game I have seen with so many different scores out there. I would say look into gameplay vids for those who are curious if this is worth a buy.
