Oh and Mass Effect on my 360.........and when Alan Awake comes out i'll get that.....but nethin else? Borrow from EB Games, finish it in a few days, return it in the 7 day money back guarantee period. Damn im devious haha

i think we all saw that coming. as a metal gear fan i'm used to kojima san's delays. he is a perfectionist(did i spell that right). i just hope that we won't wait much longer than the new date of arrival.

sorry "mart" but the 360 would choke just on the geometry data this game loads, nevermind the textures lighting and 7.1 audio. SO keep on dreaming this will come to 360, it's all you have left.

but the worst thing about it is having to watch 20 mins cut scenes about a very cheesey storyline.

The delay don't bother me at all... I could care less, myself. The thing that bothers me is the journalist know well in advance what we "Gamers" do. People keep dismissing MGS4 coming to xbox 360 over and over... but it's always the gamers who deny it. The journalist have a different take on things. Remember, embargo's, people. They can get youn into trouble if you'r a journalist. MGS4 is no doubt being ported to the 360.

do I care? Not at all... I doubt a 360 will be able to last thru the experience. The thing Konami should care about is their integrity after they do release it for the xbox 360. I see over 9 million ps3 owners out there by the time MGS 4 hits next year.

i know its disappointing but you all want MGS to be amazing, if they cut corners for an earlier release then it wont be.

Ahhh, the joy of waiting for another Kojima game! It fit’s his style to a tee. We will wait, wait, wait, wait and then he will release another over-hyped, boring, formulaic shooter hybrid that is too pretentious for its own good and has the storyline of a drive-in B grade movie. It’s cooler to say you like Metal gear than it is to actually play the garbage! The only reason for delay is it gives you Sony cacks a chance to forget how bad the last one was.

this may sound like it suks but kojima never lets us down. the man is a mastermind so it does not suprise me that this would happen. he has more space to work with so qdiing some new stuff would be nice cause when this drops with all of its AAA glory then people like the MART will rush out and by a ps3 and never be heard from agian.

The PS3 is the HARDEST system to program for! Mr.Kojima wants his last game to go into the halls of legends!
The delay, if it's really true, makes it easier for his team to implement a larger map/more missions etc.. If they are having slight framerate issues these will be fixed for a Perfect gameplay!!

I've said it quite a while back and now it has come to pass that this game would be delayed again. Metal Gear Solid 4 in many people's eyes, especially Hideo Kojima's is a masterpiece. That being said, it is costing alot of cash to make this game and the problem is NOT them needing extra time to work on the game, in fact, the game could have been released this year, and definitely by the beginning of the new year, but with a game of this magnitude, at least for the PS3, it is in Konami's interest to hold the game off until there is a larger install base for the PS3. If you release this game with the current install base, you shoot yourself in the foot as there would be alot less sales right now for this game as opposed to later next year when the PS3 has picked up the pace a bit. Once a game is released, after the initial month, the crazy hype that surrounds a game diminishes, not saying that there will not still be alot of people talking about the game, it just won't pack quite the same punch next Christmas if it released so early in the year, and we all know Christmas is the time when you have alot of buyers. I called this awhile back, I mean why release a game of this magnitude when people will be still suffering from the Christmas hangover??? This was never Konami's plan, they just told us that to garner more sales of the ps3, when the truth is, and you can quote me on this.....Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the patriots will NOT be released before August of 2008. And even then it will run the risk of being pushed back again to throw it into the holiday sales race, to maximize sales. I know this is unpopular, but it is the truth.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't irked about this delay. MGS4 is the reason I bought my PS3. I'm a HUUUUUUGE fan of the series. I cannot wait for this game to be released!

However, this is the reason I bought my PS3. I want it to be perfect (like how I feel about the previous 3 on PS1 and PS2) I want the series to go out with such a bang that it makes the ending of MGS3 seem like a weekly episode of your favourite sitcom. If Kojima needs extra time to polish this game so be it. I've waited this long, I'm sure I can wait a little while longer.

Besides, I'll be playing Portable ops + to tide me over. And I'm sure I'll have a few titles on PS3 to keep me busy... It's not like the PS3 hasn't got any games!

this is ma personal favourite title..im a fan for 10 yrs rite from the time when he first showed the game on e3 1998.to hears it being delayed again is making me feel bad...coz no matter waht ever game comes to chill..mgs is mgs..and kojami never lied about dates b4 i dont knw why this time..may be ps3 does have a small no of users to cover the amount of budget being spend on it or they fear gta 4 will dent there sales(more work being required is just a cover up)...i knw this new sku will change all tht..and i hope they bring back the date to its orignal time....

The only game you mentioned that had a real delay was Mass Effect, and by the time they made that delay, 360 had a wealth of great games already out for it. PS3 fans are still Waiting B3yond for SOMETHING worth buying.

That really sucks, but it isn't that bad for me. I still go to college and a June release will insure that I will be one of the first to play the game. Sucks for almost everyone else though. Would be interesting to learn why they delayed it a month or two. I just hope that they make up for the delay with a demo.

I can't say that I am mad about the delay because I thought the game was coming in the summer of next year anyway. As long as it's a great game I could care less how long it takes to develop as long as they don't rush the game.

we'll have Uncharted, Ratchet, Resistance, Haze, UT3, Eye of Judgement, Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, KZ2, and so much more to keep us busy for the holidays and going in Q2. Little Big Planet, Killzone 2, Devil May Cry 4, Soul Calibur 4, FallOut 3... Just to name some top mainstream coming early (Q1, early Q2 maybe) next year... I'm not saying MGS4 delay is a good thing, I would like to been playing it from yesterday if I can, but is this delay really a problem?

I mean, delays was problems for PS3 some time ago, cause a delay could once mean that you would have NOTHING (but some crap game) to play in that month, but now, it's more like (not totally equal) in PS2 time, when hundreds of games get delayed and you don't even notice that, cause there is some others good games that month and its not like you gonna buy 3 or more good games per month. I almost can't handle 1 game per month with those 60 dolars pricetags.

I’m beating a dead horse here… but Resisitance FOM gun lay out was so fun, multiplayer was one of my top favorite experiences. Insomniac nailed it and I would love a remaster and maybe a redo with Reisistance 2. They listens to players who were wanting a Halo killer and it kind of lost its character from the first.

Warhawk, if they had just remade the first one not Starhawk which offered nice things like the build and battle.. but Warhawk was the best arcade shooter I ever played. Back when you didn’t have battle passes and you actually had to get certain amount of kills or ribbons to unlock different paint skins on the Warhawks and armor for your player.. Look at the success of Helldivers 2, it’s a fun game and it reminds me of Warhawk in a way. I’ve been wanting a remake or sequel since the beginning of the ps4 gen.. it’s hurts to have hope nowadays. Even with the demise of the studios Sony has a steady fan base.

Killzone game after Killzone 2 play style would be nice

Motorstorm would be epic with the visual upgrade, maybe this game would be a harder sell with the genre being not as popular nowadays..

Resistance franchise, Motorstorm and Dirt 2 which was fun as heck. Add Dead Space 2 as well.

Sorry bud, but the PS3 generation was amazing and featured the greatest console comeback in history.

That said, I'd love it if Warhawk returned or Metal Gear Solid 4. It needs to not be shackled to the PS3 generation anymore. A Killzone 2 remake would be insane with modern graphics and that art direction.

I really miss this gen of gaming. It felt like the last truly "great" era for videogames before the modern approach really took hold.

The PS3 was such a glorious console. The UI, the games, the free online...just incredible.

I would pay good money for a Warhawk remake. Socom too. The last Socom game just didn’t do it justice. Folklore could use a remaster or remake as well.
Several other titles I would like to remade with the amount of visual fidelity the current gen has over the past consoles it could help articulate the games that we’ve loved growing up. I would love even some ps2 titles to remade.. Dark Cloud from ps2, Legacy of Kain series but don’t know what will come of it sense it was bought by Embracer group and all there layoffs.

This strategy is exactly what helped ruin Xbox. Sony more than Microsoft know when to let a franchise go and that is important to keep things fresh. The old games are there if you want to play them.

Resistance series and Killzone 2 & 3 remasters/remakes. Make it happen. They will print money.

FF13 is top of this list for me. No matter your opinion on it, it being the only numbered offline FF out of all 16 not to be on new consoles is odd. GTA IV would be great too

The only reason my PS3 is still connected is because of the Resistance, Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm games that I still love to play. I am for remaking or remastering them.
