VGW: Staff writer Chris Totten’s XBox 360 got the infamous Red Ring of Death during a playthrough of L.A. Noire and as a result, he has decided to tackle his ever-growing backlog. In this article mini-series, Chris chronicles his quest to prove that games do not have a mere 2 week shelf life by revisiting some of his forgotten classics. This week, it's off to some DSiWare favorites.

Alex S. from Link Cable Gaming writes: "Last week we took a look at ten games that, while great in their own right kind of represented what most people think of when they think of DSiWare; small games that offer fun, but limited experiences. And while that's definitely a defining feature of DSiWare games the service was also home to some surprisingly deep experiences that you can take on the go. And that's really what defines the best games for the service, games that went above and beyond what people expected from it."

Alex S. from Link Cable Gaming writes: "One day Nintendo will pull the plug on DSiWare, such is the fate of all digital stores, and so we’ve decided that this is the perfect time to take a look at the best DSiWare games of all time."

Ricardo Negron of The Koalition writes: What a year it’s been for Shantae fans. Back in March, WayForward celebrated its 30th anniversary by releasing Shantae and the Seven Series, the fifth and latest game in the series, in its entirety for Apple Arcade, and made available to all consoles in May. I wrote a comprehensive review which you can read here. Then back in July, WayForward announced that Shantae: Risky’s Revenge – Director’s Cut, the second installment in the series, would finally be ported to the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One.
This is a great pickup for fans of the series and those interested in a cool platforming title.
IMHO, while this game is far from the best the series has to offer, it's still very much worth playing.
