Its annoying when people talk about game software being to much for hardware when really its mostly to do with how well optimised the game is.

e.g

people on PC think that Arma II is the godfather of graphics but the only real reason why it has such high requirments is because the engine is very poorly optimised.

The problem is people relying on the same old engines. So many 360 games using Unreal to save money. I'm sure new engines could be developed to push the system further, but who is going to be willing to spend the dollars to do it?

lets face it 360 has had its day and made a pretty profit lets see the next xbox. i see playstation 3 going long into the release of the next xbox though as its exclusive list is far to long to all be coming out within a couple of years.

Im in no rush for next gen and kinda believe him but when people use the term maxed out they usually mean graphics, physics etc. I thought some didnt care about graphics anymore. Well if the 360 isn't maxed out then the PS3 must be a long way off untill it's maxed out.

I could understand if this was someone who worked on Multiplatform games for both consoles but this is the guy who said they maxed out Gears 2 and now he's taking that back.

What's going on with Cliffy latley...PS Move is crap, No Gears on the PS3 even though in the past he said it was possible to start a new trilogy since Marcus Fenix's is over, we should embrace hackers, now him taking stuff back saying we still have a lot of power in the 360. Is Microsoft telling him to say these things, because it just seems latley he's become more of a 360 fanboy then he usualy is.

Ok then Microsoft we want to see a rival game for Uncharted. It seems it's one of the games you havent made a rival game for yet.

there is better tech better graphics and stuff but i think we shud stick with these console for another 2 years at least IMO xbox live and psn what will be done with those networks? move and kinect? have they made the move from r&d already becuz once sumthing new is anouncewd people will stop buying these ones as much and save for nex generation stuff. all im saying is soo much has been put into this generation that i really think they should wait a while more everyone complain that pc has way better graphics and the consoles are maxed out but we all still play them and have lots of fun and peeps this go and look at halo 2 for original xbox and look at god of war 2 for ps2 then look @ gears 3 and look @ uncharted 3 HUGE DIFFERENCE whyy soo much complaints when you know your still having most fun ever in ur gaming life just wait. and games are still pretty in graphics we dnt need it being adenticle to human figures yet in time we will get it but im happy with the current generation by far also microsoft and sony systems still sell in heaps,

I'm torn because on one hand, I really love this generation of consoles. Both the Xbox 360 and PS3 have really raised the bar for console visuals and offered really high quality games, and on the other hand I really want to start the new generation of consoles to see what comes next. I think besides late adopters, we're all secretly waiting for the Xbox 3 and PS4 with their in-game 1080p graphics with crazy amounts of AA and new controllers and hopefully sexy styling and such...Bring on the new hotness boys!!

Or just play with the current generation and be happy with that.

I was pretty suprised, how good Gears 3 beta looks, so this might be true. Although I expected Uncharted 3 to smash all competition, in terms of graphics. Looking forward to both games : )
