And actually Naughty Dogs have more pression on their shoulders maybe it can boost them to make more awesome, with games like Geras 3 or new Tomb Raider coming, they must raise the bar further, because those games really great too.

Sorry, but i can see little to none improvements over Uncharted 2. Uncharted 3 for me like Uncharted 2.5.

Seems like PS3 is maxed out.
Seems like Sony lied to us about PS3 power..
it is shame but Forza 4 is better looking than GT5...gears 3 is better looking than Uncharted 3.

gonna switch to 360..also kinect is far more popular than MOve.

Xbox live is far more fun to play with all its features.

Cool to know they're still making better visuals and they'll keep refining the game until November.
I guess this time ND won't spoil the net people with the biggest moments of the game like they did with UC2.
But from the glimpse of the trailer we will have lots of stuff.
Underwater stuff, the plane scene will be awesome, sinking ship, castle burning, horse riding...plus the obvious temple, and the foreseable mythological twist.
Really more than my head can handle.
Can't wait to play it, then playing the 3 titles in sequence.

Uncharted 3 is looking good as expected from ND and I'll be shying myself away from any more revealing for Uncharted 3 as I'll get my own self amazed come November just like I did with #1 and #2!

Yes, it's 'bullocks' that games that are gimped to fit on the 360's last gen DVD format and significantly weaker graphics hardware end up looking much worse than games targeted at the PS3's higher powered graphics hardware and 25 or 50 gigabyte Blu-Ray disc look so much better.

yes it is 'bollocks' that you consider games gimped when only about 2 or 3 ps3 games actually have better graphics. Infamous2 is still way behind GTA4 and Assassins Creed in graphics. Resistance is way behind Crysis2 in graphics. I agree blu-ray is an advantage, but stop kidding yourself that there is any significant difference between the consoles.

it's bollocks you're right but actually I find that most of the time i prefer the exclusives for my ps3 because the quality is higher not just graphics here but overall you can genereally feel that money has been thrown at the development, more than the multiplatforms nothing about the multiplatforms necessarily being gimped; but yes with so many eclusives we are spoilt :p (multiplat exceptions being: AC and battlefield and dark souls :))

i tried going back to other games like third party multiplats, and i don't even care about much of them anymore on my ps3. uncharted 2 just spoiled me as well as other games too.

There's no excessive use of bloom on anyone's face, nor is there bloom on everything in those images. I only see heavy bloom illuminating on the knife and Drake's left collar. Everything else looks as it should be. I mean they're under a direct light source in a dark alley for crying out loud. What did you expect?

Do not be surprised when this turns up multiple times at the end of the year for Best Graphics for awards. Historically, PS3 exclusives have won the award for the last few years in a row now and I believe they have a chance to repeat again with U3. Anyone trying to say this game looks bad is a troll and wants to hate. Stay salty.

It will definitely be up there but it will have some stiff competition from BF3 and the witcher 2 on PC. Looks amazing though, I would have loved it if it had same graphics as number 2- for m it's more about the story and gameplay graphics are just the cherry on top.

Why are they comparing screenshots from the pre-rendered trailer? The only thing you are going to find different is the production choices they have made with lighting, modeling, texturing, ect. This is no way will give us a hint of the actual visual improvements in gameplay.

Nevertheless, the changes they made with the lighting in the pre-rendered scene does look better than the older one.

I think GeOW3 looks better than this although their gun models do look a bit shoddy. GeOW 3's color pallet and foliage look 10x's better than UC3's simply because of the latest Unreal Engine update.

UC3 has better water and sand than any game I've seen before but in terms of everything else it does look very similar to UC2. To say the difference between both trailers is "huge" is just stupid because the difference is hardly noticeable.

I highly doubt UC3 will get GOTY because BF3 looks 100x's more realistic than UC3 and the animations in BF3 are far more realistic. UC3's animations look kind of weird now, the more detailed the game gets the more they need to improve on the animations.

You can't just improve the visuals and keep the uncanny walking and jumping animations.

No way you need your eyes tested, uncharted 2 looks better than gears of war 3 for starters. Whilst playing the GoW3 beta it was surprising to see that the Xbox could get that far. The character models in uncharted 2 smokes the gears of war 3 character models let alone the textures on the clothing of the characters. In terms of colour pallet it depends on what artistry the designers want their game to have, gears of war 3 is very vivid when it comes to violence so colour is something necessary to convey that.

As for battlefield 3 those are only the pc shots, no actual console gameplay has even been revealed so you smoking out the wrong pipe there.

The PS3 version of BF3 will mop the floor with UC3 is terms of EVERYTHING! Unlike other third party devs DICE are actually utilizing every ounce of power from the SPU's.

GeOW3 looks much more cleaner, sharper and vivid, yeah I agree the desert scenes in UC3 will blow everything away but every other part of the game looks like UC2.

It's YOU who needs to get an eye checkup.

Wow, you couldn't be more wrong. Uncharted has a unique art style. They're very different games. A game can have different art direction and still have very sharp textures and realtime lighting you know.

By the way... I thought Crysis 2 was going to blow everything away, but instead it has crappy AI, lower than 720p resolution, and stupid looking animations. Crysis 2 was a huge letdown after hearing the devs praise the game so much.

Also, it's very easy to use every ounce of the PS3's SPU's, but that doesn't mean they use them efficiently. Someone could write a program that draws a smiley face that uses every ounce of processing power of the PS3.

It's all about how many optimizations they can make so the graphics are as good as they can be while maintaining a consistent framerate. Also, if Battlefield 3 isn't v-sync'd, then they lose. I don't care what anyone says... if a game developer has to resort to screen tearing to boost performance, they don't deserve to get my money. Naughty Dog on the other hand uses Triple-Buffering with a solid 30fps and no tearing whatsoever.

DICE have heavily detailed exactly how they're using the PS3's SPU's, for someone who's a "gamer" you should have read it by now. BF3 is aiming for real-world realism which is harder to achieve but it already looks great in it's pre-alpha form.

Crysis 2 even with poor A.I is still doing way more on-screen than UC3 will ever do, and the lower resolutions are forgiveable since EVERYTHING is REAL-TIME including lighting.

Crysis 2 clearly looked miles ahead of the blurry mess you fanboys call KZ3. It's all about the engine from hear on out, did you see Kojimas new FOX engine? everything in that jungle tech demo looked like CGI and none of the leaves were 2D.

That jungle looked 1000x's better UC1/2 jungles combined, every leaf in that tech demo was 3D and the character looked way more detailed than Drake.

And remember that's a multiplat engine.

It's nice seeing all the little tweaks here and there; especially Marlowe's hair. I remember that looking particularly 'off' in the original video, so it was good to see they fixed that this time around.

Can't wait to see further improvements as they start to wind down - methinks they are in the 'polish to a mirror shine' stage of development right now.

This is quite a surprise in just this short period and there is more months to go. I remember the difference between the June 2009 uncharted 2 beta between the finished game and there was quite an improvement. Uncharted 3 looks set to raise the bar again

I think Uncharted 3 is shaping up to be another blockbuster PS3 hit. It looks outstanding.

On the Forza 4 vs. GT5 thing... How can you compare 2 different games made by different developers on different systems? Every developer has different points of view and different art direction.

With that being said, they both have amazing visuals, but I can't say which one is graphically better. In order to truly compare them, would be to use the same time of day, same position of the sun and same angle of the camera in the same place relative to the car. Even then though, as to which looks better... it's all opinion-based and subjective.

Bottom line is, both games look great. Forza 4 is for 360 owners that want GT5 on their xBox and there's nothing wrong with that. Good for them.
