
GamePron: Qualcomm didn’t have a specific presence at E3, preferring to lurk about behind the scenes, but we caught up with the company while checking out Sony Ericsson's new Xperia Play handset (the new home of Minecraft on mobile!).
Raj Talluri is Vice President of Product Management at Qualcomm, and he was more than happy to tell us all about Snapdragon, the system on a chip that runs the Xperia Play – and to introduce Amira, lead character from Desert Winds, a game from Southend Interactive that’s been optimised for Snapdragon and Sony Ericsson‘s new handset.

Verizon has announced that it is teaming up with Razer and Qualcomm to create the world’s first 5G-capable gaming console. Called the Razer Edge 5G, we’ll hear more about it at RazerCon on October 15.
Qualcomm in its annual Snapdragon Tech Summit Digital 2020 revealed Snapdragon 888 Chipset which will be available in all the flagship smartphones starting from Early 2021. This new chipset incorporates the World’s Most Advanced 5G, Artificial Intelligence, Camera, Gaming, and Security Features for Premium Smartphones.
No one will notice. Mobile gaming will continue to be gacha and microtransaction games.
God, I miss being optimistic about mobile gaming. It is an absolute joke and has been for a long time.

The companies will team up to develop mobile gaming devices, game content, cloud gaming, 5G gaming use case developments and more.
